We completed the part two of the club contest last night. Thanks to the organisers and judges. The best part of the night was to see so many members participated in the table topic contest including many new members. This is what Toastmasters all about. The moment you stand up on the stage you have already won! Congratulations to the winners and best of luck in the area contest representing Stafford Heights!

What a fantastic and inspiring night at our club contest! We had a full house thanks to all the participants, members and guests. Most of all, we greatly appreciate the friends from other clubs and past members' support as judges and guest speaker. See you all in two weeks for Part 2 club contest! Well done everyone!

The newest member and oldest member of the club cut the birthday cake. It was a wonderful evening filled with great memories and joyful celebrations.

Tip for the week!

Vocal variety is essential for engaging and captivating communication. Here are five easy tips to enhance your vocal variety:

Volume: Vary your volume levels to emphasize important points and create interest. Speak softly to draw listeners in, then increase volume for emphasis.

Pace: Adjust your speaking speed to maintain audience engagement. Slow down for impact and clarity, and speed up to create excitement or convey urgency.

Pitch: Experiment with different pitches to add expressiveness. Raise your pitch for enthusiasm or surprise, and lower it for seriousness or emphasis.

Pauses: Utilize strategic pauses to highlight key ideas or allow listeners to absorb information. Pauses build anticipation and create emphasis.

Inflection: Use intonation to convey emotions and add depth to your words. Emphasize certain words or phrases through upward or downward inflection.
