Stafford State School and P&C Association Stafford State School is proudly part of a quality public education system in which the overarching objective is to provide opportunities for all students.

Stafford State School provides a dynamic educational experience for students that enables them to become independent, creative and connected lifelong learners. Our academic programs are focused on building students’ foundational skills, attitudes and values to ensure they achieve their individual potential. Literacy and numeracy skills are taught explicitly as well as embedded in Stafford State School’s extended curriculum. The core areas of study for all year levels are based on Education Queensland’s syllabus and the Australian Curriculum. They are:

Mathematics Science
History
In addition to engaging classroom-based learning activities, many aspects of our curriculum are delivered by specialist teachers, including:

Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Teacher Librarian

📚✨ We were thrilled to welcome author and illustrator Gregg Dreise to our school!

Our students had a wonderful time meeting Gregg and discovering the stories, culture and creativity behind his much-loved books.

Gregg is a proud Kamilaroi and Euahlayi author, illustrator and storyteller who grew up in south-west Queensland. His work beautifully brings together storytelling, art, music, culture and important messages about identity, connection, respect, resilience and community.

Through books such as My Culture and Me, Hello and Welcome and Circles of Life, Gregg shares stories that celebrate First Nations culture and encourage young people to appreciate who they are, where they come from and the world around them. (Penguin Australia⁠)

Gregg’s energetic and engaging presentation gave our students the opportunity to see an author in action, hear stories brought to life and learn more about the power of storytelling and illustration.

A huge thank you to Gregg for sharing his stories, culture, creativity and passion with our students. What a memorable experience! ❤️💛🖤

🤗 Welcome back to Stafford SS for Term 4 💪

What a fantastic start to the term! Our teachers and students got stuck into it from the beginning of the day and worked hard during the day to get the term started.

We are looking forward to celebrating excellence and successes over the final 10 weeks of the school year for 2026.

🧸💕 Teddy Bears’ Picnic! 💕🧸

What a gorgeous morning our Prep students had at their Teddy Bears’ Picnic! ☀️🌸

With picnic rugs, teddy bears, lunch, bubbles 🫧 and, of course, some delicious cake 🎂, it was a beautiful morning full of fun and special memories.

This experience will now become the focus of their English oral retell assessment, where the students will retell what happened and share their favourite parts of the day. 🧸💕
