🍉 KABOOM! (…well….splat rather) 🍉

Q: How many rubber bands does it take to crack a watermelon?
A: We don’t know. We’re still counting.
What a delightfully messy way to celebrate Science Week. 374 rubber bands later and counting, ‘Waltermelon’ was standing strong, refusing to succumb to the pressure.  Whilst this type of resilience and determination is usually celebrated at Stafford, we just couldn’t stand to see the students disappointed, so in the air he went. 
Let’s just say ‘Waltermelon’ gave everyone a good show.

We’re celebrating Science Week all week, with plenty of experiments, investigations and science activities happening across the school.
Life Ed is also visiting this week for our Prep to Year 4 students, Wednesday we’ll be celebrating Book Week with our Book Week Parade 📖✨ and Bullying No Way day is on Friday (wear orange!)

We’re very excited to welcome Grace, our new Uniform Shop Convenor! 👋❤️
The shop is back to regular opening hours and we’ve also gone cashless, with uniforms able to be purchased through Flexischools, EFTPOS or Back to School Boost.

SUPPORT STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK!!
Last week was a week of recognition for our school support staff for the work that they do. Thank you to our Business Manager, Administration Officer, Teacher Aides, Groundsman, IT support, Speech-Language Therapist and Psychologist, for the work, effort and care you put into supporting our teachers, students and families. You are valued and appreciated, and our school couldn't run as effectively without you!!

A great way to start a Thursday morning…any morning! Listening to our wonderful choir perform under the guidance of our fantastic conductor, Dr Jones, was music to our ears. Thank you, Dr Jones, for your organisation of this melodic moment.
