Almost half of our 54 Early Years Services put their hands up to be part of this pilot 🤩
Last week, we launched an Early Years Community of Practice pilot initiative. Leaders from kindies, early learning centres and outside school hours care services from all over Queensland coming together to learn from each other, build their confidence, and grow their practice month on month.
It all kicked off with a full-day interactive workshop, and these leaders will keep meeting in groups over coming months to share and extend their knowledge and skills.
This initiative is an LEQ first, but it's grounded in extensive Australian and international evidence on what works when it comes to professional learning, quality improvement, children's outcomes, staff retention and implementation in early childhood and OSHC contexts.

Last week, Prep students at St John's Lutheran Primary School Bundaberg got to meet their Buddies in Year 3. What a beautiful sense of community is being fostered here 🤗
Already, these students have enjoyed connecting with one another again this week as both year levels came together again to attend Chapel side by side.

Extreme heat returning to south-east Queensland this week? No worries, we'll be joining Grace Lutheran College Caboolture in the pool for their swimming carnival 🏊🤽💦
We love seeing students striving to be their best, supporting their peers from the sidelines, and embracing school spirit.

Next week, it's BACK TO SCHOOL!
Some great advice for parents and guardians from Children's Health Queensland as we all tackle the return to the school routine.
✏️🎒Back to school feels are officially here ✏️🎒
For some kids this might mean excitement, while others might be feeling a little worried or anxious. It's important to reassure your child that both of reactions are perfectly normal! 💗
It can be an adjustment when the freedom of sleep-ins, play dates and endless fun activities are replaced with a structured routine. Add in scheduling drop off/pick-ups, packing healthy yet exciting lunches and homework to the mix and it can easily become overwhelming for parents alike. 😣
To help make the transition smoother, we’ve put together a simple, step-by-step guide covering:
✔️ What to do a week out
✔️ How to prepare the day before
✔️ Tips for the first day of school
Follow along to feel more organised, confident and calm as the school year begins 👉 https://bit.ly/3HuCciR
