📢 Applications are now open for Ipswich City Council’s Student Work Experience Program – Semester 2, 2026!
Are you studying town planning and looking to gain real-world experience in local government?
Our Student Work Experience Program offers the opportunity to work alongside planning professionals within Planning and Regulatory Services, including the Development Planning and City Design branches.
Through the program, you’ll:
✔ Gain hands-on experience in urban and regional planning
✔ Contribute to meaningful local projects
✔ Develop practical skills to support your future career
✔ Experience different areas of council through our rotation model
How to apply:
📄 Complete the Work Experience Application Form (available on the Ipswich City Council website or by contacting us directly)
📄 Prepare a current resume outlining your education, skills and relevant experience
