Welcome to Habitat Early Learning Ferny Grove Fittingly, Habitat Early Learning grew from one family’s dream. Habitat Early Learning Nundah opened in 2020.
In 2006, with the care and education of their own young children in mind, a local Queensland family had the idea of developing an early childhood education centre that offered an unparalleled experience. Their vision was realised in 2009 when Habitat Early Learning Ferny Grove, nestled against the tranquil backdrop of Cedar Creek, opened its doors. A decade later, the search for a second location
— possessing the beauty of the Ferny Grove setting — began. A stunning Nundah homestead with a heart-warming history soon caught their attention. In 2022, the stunning coastal backdrop of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast has become home to the third service: Habitat Early Learning Peregian Springs. Taking cues from the contemporary landscape, the multi-storey, architecturally designed service will be Habitat’s first Montessori-exclusive learning centre. Happy staff, happy children, happy families

Science Week 🌋
Our Biggie Billa children have been exploring the exciting world of chemical reactions and put their learning into action by creating their very own volcanoes!
There was plenty of bubbles, fizz, excitement and curious minds. We loved seeing little scientists learning through play, experimentation and discovery.

When we first introduced our Buddy Bench, our aim was simple; to support friendships, kindness and a sense of belonging for every child.
Today, it is wonderful to see children using the Buddy Bench every day. From inviting someone to join a game, to sitting together and sharing a conversation, these small moments are making a meaningful difference.
We are proud to see the Buddy Bench becoming part of everyday life and, most importantly, helping our children learn that kindness and friendship can start with simple acts 🤍

What a wonderful way to finish our Harvest Week! A big thank you to Miss Sarah for bringing her chickens, Grace and Ginger, in to visit us on Friday.
The children loved spending time admiring them and learning more about chickens. To make the day even more exciting, Grace and Ginger even laid some eggs for us!
A fun and memorable way to wrap up a fantastic week of celebrating Habitat Harvest.

Today we had a very special visitor at Habitat - Tiffany, the miniature horse!
The children were excited to meet Tiffany and discover what it takes to look after her. They learned about Tiffany's daily care, what she likes to eat, and how to keep her happy and healthy.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn, connect with an animal, and enjoy their very own farm experience at Habitat.

We were delighted to welcome Mark Furner MP and Jason from Early Childhood Australia to our service as part of Early Matters Week. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the importance of early childhood education and show the incredible work of our dedicated teaching team.
During the visit, we shared the meaningful learning experiences, relationships, and connections that sit at the heart of our service. It was a privilege to highlight the passion, professionalism, and commitment our educators bring each day to support children’s growth, development, and wellbeing.
Thank you Mark Furner MP for Ferny Grove, for taking the time to visit and recognise the valuable role early childhood services play in shaping the future of our children and communities.

Sporting Chance is back!
We're excited to bring back one of our favourite family events - a day dedicated to encouraging children to be active, be amongst the Habitat community and celebrate the power of teamwork.
Families will enjoy a range of gross motor activities, friendly competition between classrooms and of course, our highly anticipated parent and child running races!
We look forward to seeing our families there for a fantastic day, community spirit and some healthy competition 🥇

Healthy Harold from Life Education paid us a special visit, giving our children the opportunity to take part in an engaging and interactive learning session.
The focus was on safe screen time, helping children understand how to use technology in healthy, balanced, and safe ways. Through Harold the giraffe puppet, interactive resources, and age-appropriate discussions, children explored the importance of making positive choices when using screens and learned practical strategies to support their wellbeing.
A big thank you to Life Education for another fun and valuable visit. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning with Healthy Harold! 🦒
