🌱 Bonsai Fundamentals Class 🪴

Today we welcomed five new bonsai enthusiasts to Brisbane International Bonsai School, and together we created their very first bonsai trees!

Throughout the day, we learned the basics of bonsai styling, maintenance, history, and the principles that make this art form so rewarding.

One of the best parts of teaching this class is seeing the excitement when someone creates their first bonsai. Every bonsai journey starts with a single tree, and today five new journeys began. 🌿

Thank you everyone for spending your Saturday with us. We can’t wait to see how your bonsai develop in the years to come! 😊 ❤️

Special Subject Workshop.
Winter Grooming.
Thursday June 18th & Saturday June 27th.
9am to 4pm. $165 per person, max 6.

What is Winter Grooming?
Many people feel winter is a quiet time of year for Bonsai work. That may be the case in very cold places, but in warmer areas like ours, winter grooming is an essential process to get trees ready for Spring, which comes quickly in Brisbane.
Cleaning out old leaves, removing growth from underneath branches and at cluttered junctions (unders & junctions) and sorting out tip growth is all part of this preparation.
This is especially essential for Junipers and Pines, but all trees should be subject to this detailed grooming in preparation for spring. Even some detail wiring is good at this time of year as there are no fresh buds or leaves to be damaged.
Send us a direct message for bookings or more information.
