Fun Bonsai Thursday at Brisbane International Bonsai School 🪴

As spring approaches, everyone is busy getting their much-loved Bonsai ready for the season ahead.

Repotting, cleaning, pruning… and, of course, weeding! 🤣🪴

We had two busy sessions today, with everyone bringing plenty of trees to work on. And we’re proud to say that everyone managed to get through their Bonsai jobs beautifully! 💮👍

What a fun day of Bonsai, learning, sharing ideas and plenty of laughs along the way. 🥰🪴

What an awesome morning! 🥰🪴

Today we had a lovely Family Bonsai session with three wonderful people who joined our Bonsai Fundamentals Class back in May.

It was so nice to catch up with Val, Chris and Kwong and see how their first Bonsai have been doing since the class. 🪴😉

They worked hard on all the trees they brought along today, and somehow managed to get plenty of work done while having lots of laughter along the way! 😂

It was such a pleasure to have you back with us. We’re already looking forward to seeing you again in three months! 🪴

A new Bonsai journey begins… 🪴

Today at Brisbane International Bonsai School, five new Bonsai enthusiasts created their very first Bonsai! 🥇🪴

We began the day by exploring some of Tony’s Bonsai collection, followed by a little history, different styles and the basic principles behind this beautiful art.

And then came the exciting part — creating their very own Bonsai. 😊

There’s something truly special about watching someone make their first Bonsai. We know the feeling well, because Bonsai has brought so much joy, friendship and happiness into our lives.

We hope today was just the beginning of a wonderful journey for our five new Bonsai friends.

Welcome to the Bonsai world! 🪴😉
We’re so happy to have you with us!
