Heads up! A Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) will be in force tomorrow for the Brisbane Ekka as the Air Force Roulettes aerobatic display team takes to the skies! 🛩️✨

Update: The TRA over Brisbane Ekka has been cancelled due to weather. The RAAF Roulettes display is no longer going ahead.

Attention pilots: A temporary restricted area (TRA) will be in force for the Brisbane Ekka tomorrow where the Air Force Roulettes aerobatic display team will be in action!

The restrictions are expected to be in place from 12:10 pm -12:30 pm and will affect up to 6,000 FT AMSL, within 5 NM of Brisbane Showgrounds in uncontrolled airspace and within 3 NM in controlled airspace. All pilots flying within the vicinity are required to monitor NOTAMs for final timings.

These restrictions also apply to drones and model aircraft of all sizes and weights operated commercially or recreationally, including drones that might be considered small toys.

AUSA's parent company V-TOL Aerospace is one of three companies receiving a grant to develop an RPA that integrates Li-S next-generation batteries and advanced solar cells for long-endurance missions. 😎

The purpose of the grant is to enable Li-S Energy, in partnership with Australian companies V-TOL Aerospace and HaloCell, to develop a drone that integrates our next generation batteries and advanced solar cells that can be deployed from ‘dawn to dusk’ without landing or recharging.
