Who are we?

FOCUS is a community for international students to make friends and meet Jesus. We meet regularly at QUT (in Brisbane) at both Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses. 🌳

We are about…
…making friends 👋
We love meeting people from all different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. All are welcome to join us! We hope that we can be a space for international students to connect and make friends (and maybe bond over food, culture, funny moments, shared experiences 😋). We also hope to be a community that cares for one another and encourages one another.

…helping people meet Jesus 📖
We think Jesus is the greatest person anyone can meet! When we gather throughout the week we learn more about Jesus - who he is, and why the good news about Jesus is life-changing. You don’t have to know anything about Jesus or be a Christian to join our gatherings. If you already know Jesus, we hope you can learn and grow in knowing Jesus more with us 🤗

Whoever you are, we hope that you will feel welcome in our FOCUS community.

**every Tuesday, 5–6:30pm @ Kelvin Grove campus**
This is for anyone wanting to grow deeper in knowing Jesus alongside others. Join for fellowship, prayer, training, and learning from the Bible.

An announcement - this one's for the ladies!
🌸 come join on Thursday afternoons for FOCUS Girls Hangouts!
It's an opporunity to enjoy some tea, snacks, take a break from study. There will be some relaxing activities you can do and a chance to yap with others. It's also a space where you can share with someone what's on your mind, or pray together!

🍪 times & dates: 3-4pm, Thursdays, 14 May, 21 May, 28 May (weeks 11-13 of uni)

Hi everyone, you're all invited to a special Easter service this Wednesday April 1.
It's hosted by the QUT Chaplaincy alongside local churches / uni groups 🤗

It's a great opportunity to explore what Easter is about! 🐣
🌟 Free entry and free food afterwards
⏰ 7pm (doors open 6:45pm) at QUT Kelvin Grove, W Block, Room 201

We have a very special Friday gathering next week where we can lean more about it!

Next Friday is Good Friday. It’s a public holiday but we’re still gathering for a great night together 🤗 we’ll enjoy dinner, some special Easter-themed games and activities, and find out the meaning of Easter. 🥚✝️
It’s a great opportunity to bring a friend along too!

You don't have to be a follower of Jesus to come to our events. All are welcome, from every culture and belief. We'd love to meet you!
