Are you someone wanting to grow deeper in your faith or know Jesus more? FOCUS Grow is for you 🤗 come and enjoy fellowship together, prayer, training, and dig deeper into the Bible. We always have some snacks too!

You don't have to be a follower of Jesus to come to our events. All are welcome, from every culture and belief. We'd love to meet you!

🌳 This Saturday: Welcome Lunch & Fun in the Park!

It's been lovely meeting many of you at our Welcome Week and welcome events so far! Join us this Saturday for a great time together in the park. We'll enjoy a yummy lunch together (with Indian food), play some fun games (including team games and cricket!), meet new people and hear about FOCUS, and enjoy one of Brisbane's iconic parks by the river ✨

📆 Saturday 28 Feb, 11am-2pm
🌳 New Farm Park - we'll be in the area near the ferry stop and rotunda.
🚌⛴️🚗 How do I get there? You can take a beautiful CityCat (ferry) ride along the Brisbane River and get off at the New Farm stop. It's also easily accessible by bus. But contact us if you need some help with transport and we'll try to help you.

Feel free to bring any friends along. You're welcome to join whether it's your first time or 50th time with us. Looking forward to seeing you there 🤗

🥘 This Friday: International Flavours Night!

Come and enjoy a yummy dinner with us this Friday night!
We'll have international snacks, fun games, and we'll learn about Jesus. It's a great opportunity to meet other international students!

We have some Welcome Events coming up which are a great opportunity to get to know each other, have fun, and also get to know what FOCUS is about (and of course, we'll enjoy yummy food together!) 🤗

Who are we?

FOCUS is a community for international students to make friends and meet Jesus. We meet regularly at QUT (in Brisbane) at both Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses. 🌳

We love meeting people from all different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. All are welcome to join us! We hope that we can be a space for international students to connect and make friends (and maybe bond over food, culture, funny moments, shared experiences 😋). We also hope to be a community that cares for one another and encourages one another.

…helping people meet Jesus 📖
We think Jesus is the greatest person anyone can meet! When we gather throughout the week we learn more about Jesus - who he is, and why the good news about Jesus is life-changing. You don’t have to know anything about Jesus or be a Christian to join our gatherings. If you already know Jesus, we hope you can learn and grow in knowing Jesus more with us 🤗

Whoever you are, we hope that you will feel welcome in our FOCUS community.

‼️ UPDATE: Summer FOCUS is cancelled tomorrow night (Friday 13 Feb)! ‼️

Hi everyone - the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has forecast a LOT of rain for tonight and tomorrow and has put out a severe thunderstorm warning around Brisbane! The roads may be quite wet. We thought it best to cancel our gathering tomorrow night so you're not travelling out and about in some crazy weather.
We're sad not to see you tomorrow night, 😭 but hope to see you next week! We'll have our Welcome Week stall and Welcome Events 🤗

⛈️ Hope you stay safe and dry! If you are looking for more updates on the forecast and tips for the wet weather, the BOM website is a great place to get up-to-date information and tips (you can google "Bureau of Meterology" to find the website!).
