Join us as we support Miss Kylee, Miss Collette and Miss Hayley as they raise funds for sick children and their families! On Saturday the 24th of October they will be walking 21km to 42km all night long!

This is where you can help, we are looking for donations! All funds raised will support two charities working hand in hand to support Queenslands sickest children: Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland and Children’s Hospital Foundation.

We appreciate any donations and wish Miss Collette and Miss Kylee all the best as they get ready to walk all night long! 🩵

Last week, our Assistant Centre Manager and Support Manager attended the Wolbai Community Cluster, it was an insightful session exploring Torres Strait Islander culture and ways of being and doing. 🌿

We truely value these important opportunities of ongoing learning and cultural understanding to help us grow, reflect and create a more culturally safe and inclusive environment.

Happy Educators’ Day!! 💫🩵🫧

Today we’re celebrating the educators who play such an important role in the early years.

Our educators are there for the big milestones and the little moments in between. It’s a big job, made up of hundreds of small moments ,listening, guiding, encouraging, comforting, celebrating and simply being there.

We’re incredibly proud of our team and grateful for the difference they make in the lives of children and families every day. 🩵

Recently, Miss Christine asked our Sugar Gliders what their favourite food was, and a LOT of them said… sushi! 🍣

So, of course, we had to make some!
The children worked together to create one big sushi roll, making it a fun and delicious group experience. 💛🍣

On Friday, Educational Leaders from our Wamuran, Elimbah and Pumicestone Centres along with our Company Educational Leader attended the Caboolture Flag Raising NAIDOC Event- The event celebrates 50 years of Deadly, making 5 decades of NAIDOC Week, with a theme that highlights the strength, resilience, leadership and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 🍃

On Tuesday last week, team members from our Clayfield, Northgate and Samford Centres attended the National Sorry Day- Teralba Park Ceremony which is run by the Teralba Park Stolen Generation Support Group Inc.

At Capers Early Learning we acknowledge National Sorry Day as a day of remembering those children and families that were taken from their loved ones and the impact this had on their lives. This was also an opportunity for learning and reflection of how we can continue on our journey towards Reconciliation.
