A botanical drawing of oriental ginger leaf with contemporary twist - ink, willow and pastel on A1 paper.

A new little piece. Snowy Wood. Acrylic ink on acrylic. Loving the modern twist created by the blended ink on the surface. A monochromatic palette always draws me in! 😊 Still a little way to go. This is the back. These days I am experimenting with keeping both back and front for viewing. Fingers crossed it will work! ♥️

Love this new piece. Acrylic on canvas.
I loved working with the soft toned palette.
This work is 46cm H x 36 cm wide.
DM if you are interested in this piece or something similar on a much grander scale - a one off stand alone or dyptych.

Study of movement A2. Loved this exercise working with wet on wet with ink incorporated with dry - willow, charcoal and pastels.

I have loved learning about economy in drawing - I think one of my latest drawings in ink shows that I may have finally learnt the meaning of such. To create gesture and meaning with minimal line from life drawing is definitely no easy feat!

Latest study…Mixed media on A3 cartridge paper. Thinking I might convert such to a large canvas…

‘Moody Blues’
Southern Ocean Blue, iridescent Umbers and Teal by day, to Midnight and Steel Blue by evening. This latest painting is completely unpredictable and rather serendipitous…

After spending a wee bit of time trying to photograph my latest piece, it is living up to its name ‘Moody Blues’. This chameleon of a painting is up for sale. Acrylic on Acrylic (Perspex) 815 H x 1225 W. $590 unframed. I can feel a series brewing…like that of The Peppers, Life in the Sand, and my Wonders. This painting has a personality that changes according to where it is placed in a room as well as light over the course of the day. Have never painted anything that highlights itself according to ‘itself’. I have added a range of photographs within this post to demonstrate such. Unframed.
