Turns out school leaders are just as competitive as their students!
Last week, Brook and Alex visited Labrador State School to present Kylie Haselem, Deputy Principal (Prep - Year 2) with her prize for winning the inaugural Street Science x QASSP Cup.
After two days of fierce competition at the Queensland Association of State School Principals (QASSP) Conference, Kylie claimed the title and secured $5,000 in Street Science credit for her school.
Congratulations, Kylie! We loved celebrating the win with you and can't wait to see the impact those science experiences have on your students.

There’s something different about being out on the road during the Regional Queensland Tour.
Back at Scottville, the students were so excited to give Emma an update on the green tree frogs — from last year’s frog pond to now watching tadpoles turn into frogs.
And in Middlemount, spotting familiar faces, kids who’ve now seen her perform four or more times, still just as into it.
It’s those little moments in between that really stay with you.
Thanks to all the schools who welcomed us 👏

Such a great session with the Year 6s at Springfield Lakes SS, they brought so much energy. Melody and Sarah loved every minute of it too.
Thanks so much for having us! 🚀

The students at Scottville State School were so excited to give Emma an update on the green tree frogs on her return.
From last year’s frog pond to tadpoles turning into frogs, this was definitely a highlight from this year’s Regional Queensland Tour.
Thanks Scottville, we can't wait to come back next year!!

Always love seeing these moments from our partner schools 🙌
Tecoma Primary School recently shared a snapshot of their Street Science session and it pretty much sums it up… colour changes, floating balls, fire on a hand.
Harmonie had the whole room hooked.
Really nice to see the excitement carry beyond the session too, with more learning happening back in the classroom.
Thanks for having us!
