Cognitive training is now more accessible for NDIS participants. šŸ§ šŸ’™

If attention, memory, or processing challenges are impacting daily life, school, work, or independence, cognitive training could be a funded pathway worth exploring.

āœ… Evidence-based programs shown to build real, lasting cognitive gains
āœ… May be accessed through NDIS self-managed or plan-managed funding (subject to your plan goals)
āœ… Personalised support from qualified coaches throughout your training
āœ… Flexible, at-home sessions that fit around your routine
āœ… Designed for a wide range of ages and needs

Whether it’s supporting a child’s learning, helping a teen build independence, or improving day-to-day functioning as an adult — cognitive training can be part of a bigger plan toward your goals.

Not sure if your plan covers it? We can help you figure that out. šŸ‘‡

Neurodivergent minds don’t need to be ā€œfixedā€ — they need tools that actually work with how they think. 🧠✨

Computer-based cognitive training is opening up new ways to support neurodivergent students — offering:

āœ… Self-paced learning that adapts in real time to the student’s ability
āœ… Repetition without judgment — practice as many times as needed, pressure-free
āœ… Engaging, game-like formats that build focus and motivation
āœ… Data-driven progress tracking so growth is visible, not just assumed
āœ… Consistency — the same experience every session, which many neurodivergent learners thrive on

For students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or working memory challenges, the right digital tool can turn frustrating tasks into achievable wins — building confidence alongside skills.

Technology isn’t a replacement for great teaching or support — it’s a powerful addition to it. šŸ’»šŸ“š

Drop a šŸ™‹ if you’d like to know more about programs that support neurodivergent learners.

Does your child forget instructions almost immediately? 🧠

You ask them to:

ā€œPut your shoes on, grab your bag, pack your lunch and get in the car.ā€

…and two minutes later, they’re still looking for their shoes. šŸ˜…

It can be tempting to think they aren’t listening, aren’t trying, or simply aren’t paying attention.

But sometimes, working memory may be part of the picture.

Working memory helps us hold information in our mind while we use it. When a child is given several instructions at once, they need to:

šŸ‘‚ Listen to the information
🧠 Hold it in mind
šŸ”„ Process what they’ve heard
āœ… Complete each step

If working memory is under strain, multi-step instructions can quickly become overwhelming.

Try this: Instead of giving four instructions at once, start with one or two. Ask your child to repeat the instructions back to you, then build from there.

And remember — difficulty following instructions doesn’t automatically mean there’s a problem. But if you’re noticing a consistent pattern across home and school, it may be worth exploring the skills underlying your child’s learning.

🧠 Understanding the skill behind the behaviour is often a great place to start.

✨ FUN FACT! 🧠

Did you know? Cogmed isn’t about teaching strategies to cope with attention difficulties.

It’s designed to work on something deeper: increasing attentional capacity itself. šŸŽÆ

Rather than simply finding ways to work around attention challenges, Cogmed focuses on strengthening the brain’s ability to sustain and manage attention.

🧠 Train the capacity, not just the strategy.

šŸ’œ Feed your brain with the power of purple! šŸ’œ

Did you know that naturally purple foods are packed with antioxidants called anthocyanins? These powerful plant compounds may help protect brain cells, support memory, and promote healthy cognitive function as we age.

Add more brain-loving purple foods to your plate:
🫐 Blueberries
šŸ† Eggplant
šŸ‡ Purple grapes
🄬 Purple cabbage
šŸ  Purple sweet potato
šŸ§… Red onion
šŸ’ Blackberries

A colourful plate isn’t just beautiful—it’s a smart way to nourish your mind from the inside out.

šŸ’œ Eat the rainbow. Think brighter.

🧠 Neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to change — might sound like a modern discovery, but the theory behind it has roots way back.

For centuries, scientists believed the brain was fixed after childhood. 🧱
But a few bold thinkers challenged that…

🧠 In the 1800s, William James hinted at a changeable brain.
🧠 In the 1900s, researchers noticed stroke patients re-learning skills.
🧠 By the late 20th century, science proved the brain rewires itself — through learning, trauma, healing, and experience.

Today, neuroplasticity is at the heart of everything from therapy to AI to self-improvement.

Your brain isn’t hardwired. It’s alive, adaptive, and always evolving. šŸ”
