I’ve been asked why I offer both Mentoring AND Coaching…over the years with my own coaches, I’ve not only wanted to work on and release my own limiting beliefs (yep we all have those often unwanted inner voices) but I’ve also wanted to hear ideas and learn techniques that have worked along with others perspectives to open my mind and for my own growth - those techniques I have used, adapted and built on which for me felt like a jump forward.💥

I now figure that with 10 years experience as a business owner, 30 years as a leader and in sales and countless mentees - that I have a bit to share - oh and not forgetting my own life events which as we know like it or not, our professional and personal lives can cross over and impact us 💫

Why is a Mood-board so important for a project?
It helps you / your client recognise and understand the design direction and see the colour palette layered together.

Whether you are helping a client or selecting finishes for a development - the process remains the same. A mood-board helps you understand if there is continuity of undertones, enough texture, contrast and that they all work together.

If you’re struggling with confidence to present your ideas, we can help with group or one to one training and/or mentoring.

It’s crucial to get it right the first time with confidence. Otherwise you can make very costly mistakes.

I’m excited to be speaking at the IOPO Conference in Brisbane on Friday to a fabulous audience of people.
Design is not just how a space looks, but how it feels, functions and how you feel when you are in it. The principles of design are the foundations of what every project starts with. We will explore this and more in my presentation.

Mood board Masterclasses have always been popular since we started them 4 years ago…last Saturdays seminar was no different at the Build and Design Centre in South Brisbane.

We had over 100 attendees eager to learn, listen and take photos of my presentation to understand as much as possible about Interiors and how to put together a Mood Board and of course why!

Mood boards are the start of any project and not only does it communicate your project, it helps you understand if the finishes work together and that there is consistency with your colour palette, textures and undertones. They also help keep you on track.

My advice, once you have decided…stick to your guns (as everyone you speak to will have an opinion about your finishes)! It’s your project and about what you love. Now document it all so that you don’t forget and to make life easier for your builder/trades and your sanity!!

If you’re struggling then get some professional help as mistakes can be very costly when it comes to finishes.
