This is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling role where you will work closely with your secretariat team to secure sponsorship, coordinate logistics, creating content, and more to create an unforgettable MUNning experience for hundreds of delegates!

~~IMPORTANT UPDATE~~

Hi all,

It is with much sadness that we are announcing that the Brisbane Model United Nations Conference 2020 will be postponed due to ongoing concerns over the impact of the COVID-19 virus.

The conference was to be held 16th-19th of April, but after extensive deliberation the decision has been made by the secretariat to postpone the event for the safety of all attending delegates. We hope everyone can understand that we did not make this decision lightly and that we are working hard to reschedule the conference to an appropriate later date.

BrisMUN routinely attracts delegates from intrastate, interstate, and overseas. Given recent updates from the Australian government it is becoming likely that travel would be unrealistic or prevented for many of our delegates.

We would like to thank everyone including individuals, organisations, and generous sponsors, who have supported the conference so far. We look forward to bringing you the next installment of BrisMUN!

~DIRECTOR APPLICATIONS STILL OPEN~

New to Model UN? Experienced delegate but haven't yet directed? Experienced director and missing your latest MUN-fix?
Directing a MUN committee is an incredibly rewarding experience, where you not only have the opportunity to better grasp the ROP, but you can act as a mentor to delegates new and old. Seeing committee debate as an impartial observer instead of an invested delegate can provide a fresh new perspective on the global issues being discussed.

To get that special feeling of directing a committee at Brismun 2020, send through your applications now!

Curious about directing, but haven't yet taken the plunge? Not sure where to start? BrisMUN 2020 will be running information and training session for directors new, old and emerging, prior to the commencement of this year's conference.

~ UPDATE: Conference Dates ~

After reviewing changes in university timetables, we are announcing that BrisMUN 2020’s conference dates have changed! BrisMUN will now be held from Thursday the 16th to the Sunday the 19th of April 2020.

We apologise for the sudden change and if these new dates hinder your ability to participate in this year's conference. The BrisMUN 2020 executive have chosen to reschedule the conference one week earlier than projected because we believe these dates will enable more people to participate. More delegates = greater debates and opportunities to improve your skills, more friendly faces to meet and calls for bigger (and more exciting) socials!!!
