Yesterday, we were so excited to welcome Josh from MABAIGAL PTY LTD to our centre for a wonderful dance workshop with our Kindergarten children!
Miss Jas and Miss Marcella were first introduced to Josh at the C&K Creative Cultural Connections Day, where they had the opportunity to participate in one of his incredible dance workshops. Upon returning to the centre, they shared their experience with the Kindergarten children, who were fascinated and eager to learn the dance for themselves!
This week, the children had the wonderful opportunity to learn directly from Josh, exploring Torres Strait Islander culture through traditional instruments and dance.
A huge thank you to Josh for sharing your knowledge, culture and passion with us. We are so grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing to build meaningful connections and learning experiences with MABAIGAL PTY LTD

This week, our Kindy children had an amazing day at the zoo, taking their learning beyond the classroom and into the world around them!
Through observing animals and engaging in meaningful conversations, the children expanded their understanding of living creatures and habitats - linking to their term 3 inquiry!
A wonderful day filled with curiosity, discovery and memories to treasure!

Recently, our Pedagogical Leader, Miss Jas, had the wonderful opportunity to attend a Cultural Connections Day, where she learnt the beautiful Torres Strait Islander art of weaving.
After returning to the centre, Miss Jas shared her experience and new knowledge with our Kindergarten children. Inspired and eager to give it a go themselves, the children followed each step to create their very own woven fish.
Opportunities like these help us authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday curriculum

Recently we proudly celebrated Thank a First Responder Day by welcoming a variety of first responders into our centre to share their knowledge, experiences, and the important roles they play in keeping our community safe.
The children had the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles, learn about the equipment first responders use, and ask lots of curious questions.
Leading up to the day, the children were busy in their rooms baking a variety of delicious treats to create special thank-you gifts for our first responder families. This was a meaningful opportunity for the children to express their appreciation for the dedication, bravery, and service that first responders provide to our community each and every day.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to all first responders for the incredible work you do. We are so grateful for your commitment to keeping our communities safe.
