Celebrating Culture, Connection and Inclusion!

Last week, our team had the privilege of participating in a centre-wide staff meeting led by Paia, who shared an engaging and practical session focused on creating meaningful and authentic inclusive spaces for children.

Drawing on her own cultural heritage from Papua New Guinea and her experiences as an educator, Paia provided valuable insights into how we can intentionally embed culture, identity and belonging within our learning environments. Through storytelling, personal experiences and practical examples, she inspired our team to reflect on ways we can support children to connect with, experience and celebrate the rich diversity of cultures within our community.

Sea of Hearts 2026

As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, the children at Tiny Legends have been participating in the Sea of Hearts Movement, a meaningful initiative that encourages conversations about connection, belonging, respect, and reconciliation.

This year, we embraced the children’s and Educators own interpretations of what a heart means to them. Through art, creativity, and discussion, children and educators designed a unique heart that reflected their ideas, experiences, and understanding of kindness, friendship, family, love, and community.

As the children created their hearts, educators engaged them in age-appropriate conversations about caring for one another, celebrating differences, and the importance of building respectful relationships with everyone.

Our growing Sea of Hearts is a beautiful reminder that every child’s voice matters and that even the smallest acts of kindness and understanding can contribute to a more connected and inclusive future.

This Mother’s Day, you can help bring comfort to a mother who has fled domestic violence and is currently living in crisis accommodation.

Micah Projects – Brisbane Domestic Violence Service is seeking donations of brand new robes to support and uplift isolated mothers during this time.

Tiny Legends is proud to be one of the official drop-off points for this meaningful initiative as part of the Spread the Warmth 2026 Campaign.

Donations can be dropped off at our centre—or any dedicated location across Brisbane—until Friday, 1st May.

Recently we took a moment to celebrate International Women’s Day and recognised the incredible women who make our community so special.

To the amazing educators, mums, grandmothers, aunties, and role models in our Tiny Legends family – thank you for the care, strength, kindness, and inspiration you bring into the lives of our children every single day 💜

Recently our Pre-Kindy children explored, collaborated and created in the mud — learning through play just as it should be!

Through gentle ambience and calming spaces, our Junior Toddlers are learning and growing in an environment designed to feel safe, warm, and welcoming

We recently celebrated the festive season with our much-loved Children’s Christmas Party, and what a joyful day it was! The centre was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of Christmas cheer as our children enjoyed a day full of fun, festive experiences and special moments with their friends and educators.

From music, dancing and festive surprises, it was a beautiful way to come together and celebrate the magic of Christmas while creating lasting memories for our children!

Kindy Graduation 2025

Recently, we celebrated our beautiful Kindy graduates and all the hard work, growth, and achievements they’ve made throughout the year. We are so proud of each and every child and the incredible journey they’ve been on.

We Are Now an Official Waste Smart Kindy!

We are incredibly proud to share that Tiny Legends Childcare Centre has been officially recognised as a Waste Smart Kindy!

Recently, we had the honour of welcoming representatives from Brisbane City Council, along with Councillor Jared Cassidy, who visited our centre to present our certificate. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our ongoing efforts to reduce waste, recycle responsibly, and teach our little legends about caring for our environment.

The Power of Intelligent Parts!

At Tiny Legends, we love using intelligent parts — open-ended materials that spark imagination and creativity. From pipes and milk crates to cable reels and wooden panels, these treasures invite children to think, create, and explore in their own unique ways.
