SCMB’s A/Prof Jody Peters, Dr Henry de Malmanche, and Dr Jessical Harrison developed the ISVac™ platform. This vaccine platform demonstrated to prevent mosquito-borne diseases in animals is now closer to clinical development for humans. Prof Phil Hugenholtz & Dr Steven Robbins were part of a team that documented thousands of microbes that support healthy reefs, they will be used to measure/monitor changes. Their Great Barrier Reef Microbial Genomes Database is now available to researchers.
