From learning to earning ✂️

Sonam, 16, from a village near Bodhgaya, didn’t pass her 10th grade last year but she didn’t stop there.

Through the Pragati Sewing Center, she’s gained real world skills and can now stitch garments like blouses, salwar suits, and saree borders.

With her marriage approaching, Sonam hopes to continue her studies and dreams of starting her own sewing business to support her family.

Stories like hers are only possible through support like yours.

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and potential of the incredible women and girls at the heart of so many BDA initiatives focused on upliftment and empowerment.

Through education, opportunity, and support, we continue working toward a future where every girl can thrive.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, vital winter relief was delivered to people facing harsh cold conditions in Bodhgaya, India, where temperatures have dropped to 6°C.

Through our local partners, 100 high-quality blankets were purchased and distributed directly to elderly and vulnerable community members.
