Advanced Music Camp 2026
Selected learners from the Instrumental Music Programme enjoyed a 4-day music camp at Ferny Grove State High School last term. They learned new pieces and concepts to enhance their existing skills. Each piece was challenging in different ways. Listening to the ensemble and watching the conductor were extremely important as the String Ensemble was significantly larger than at Grovely. Learners also participated in choir and Zumba sessions each day. Our learners formed new friendships with children from eight other schools in the Ferny Grove cluster. Our Grovely learners were responsive, responsible and respectful. They looked out for each other and generally had a really fun time!

A huge thank you to the Brisbane Broncos NRLW for visiting our Year 3–6 girls and teaching them some core rugby league skills.
Special thanks to Karli and Charlie from the NRL for leading the session, and a big shout-out to Bree Spreadborough, Breanna Eales and Jesse Southwell for taking the time to work with our students. It’s safe to say there was plenty of excitement around the school whilst having Broncos stars at Grovely! ⭐🏉
Beyond the skills on the field, our students got to see firsthand the importance of our Grovely values: Working Hard, Being Kind, and Staying Safe and how they got them to the NRLW. Bree, Bre and Jesse were fantastic role models and showed exactly what these values look like in action.
We loved having you at Grovely and wish you all the very best for the upcoming NRLW season. We'll be cheering you on all the way!
