🌌✨ Milky Way Sensory Swirls! 🪐💫

Our littlest space explorers have been busy celebrating World Space Week! 🚀

Today in our Nursery Studio, we created our very own Milky Way galaxies using yoghurt and food colouring! 🌈

With curious little hands, our babies explored the cool, thick texture of the yoghurt, watching in wonder as the colours swirled, mixed and blended together. 💙💜

This fun, hands-on sensory experience encouraged curiosity, creativity, fine motor development and an understanding of cause and effect.

🚀✨ Our Kindergarten Rocket is Taking Shape! 🌟🪐

3… 2… 1… BLAST OFF! 🚀

Our Kindergarten children have been busy continuing their exciting rocket ship project for World Space Week!

Working together, we have added more structure to our recycled rocket ship and brought our creation to life with paint! 🎨 The children have shown wonderful teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills as they shared ideas and worked collaboratively to build something truly special.

Our space exploration didn't stop there! Using magnetic tiles, the children challenged themselves to replicate our rocket ship, exploring shapes, balance, construction and spatial awareness as they brought their ideas to life.

We are all SUPER proud of our rocket ship and the amazing teamwork that has gone into creating it! ❤️🚀

🚀🪐 SPACE WEEK IN PRE-KINDY! 🌎✨

Our Pre-Kindy children have been busy blasting off into a week of space exploration!

exploring space through a variety of hands-on learning experiences. We’ve strengthened our fine motor skills with space-themed playdough and cutters, challenged our thinking with planet puzzles, and used books and pictures as inspiration to paint our own interpretations of the planets. 🎨🌎🪐

We also came together for a wonderful group discussion where the children shared their ideas and theories about exploring space. We wondered: How would we get to space? What would we need to take with us? What might we discover when we get there? 🚀🌙

These conversations encouraged the children to use their imagination, curiosity, language and emerging scientific thinking, while listening to and building upon the ideas of their peers.

We can’t wait to see where our Space Week adventures take us next! 🚀⭐️

🚀✨ SPACE WEEK IS BLASTING OFF! ✨🚀

Today Kindergarten began creating their very own recycled rocket! 🌎♻️

We started by gluing and taping our recycled materials together to create the rocket structure. Over the next few days, the children will continue bringing our creation to life through painting, collaging and decorating. 🎨🖌️

This project is a wonderful opportunity to explore creativity, teamwork and sustainability as we discover how everyday recycled materials can be transformed through imagination. 💫

Our scientists have been busy creating magical nature potions!
Using water, dirt and bark, our curious learners explored the wonders of nature through hands-on sensory play. Little hands were busy mixing, stirring, scooping and pouring as we discovered different textures and watched our potions change.
This wonderful open-ended experience encouraged curiosity, fine motor development, hand-eye coordination and early problem-solving skills as our little ones explored cause and effect.
Through messy play, we are building confidence, encouraging independence and allowing each child to explore at their own pace.

Something delicious has been cooking in our kitchen! 💛

We know how much our little learners enjoy the yummy meals prepared for them each day, so we thought we’d share one of our recipes with our families to enjoy at home too.

Attached you’ll find the recipe so you can recreate it together at home. Cooking with children is a beautiful opportunity to spend time together, explore new tastes and textures, and build independence through simple jobs such as mixing, pouring and stirring. 🥣✨

🌈🍝 Colourful Spaghetti Sensory Play! 🍝🌈

Our Nursery Studio was filled with colour, curiosity and lots of messy little hands as our children explored coloured spaghetti!

The children were encouraged to squish, squeeze, pull, grasp and wriggle the spaghetti between their fingers, discovering the different textures and movements through hands-on sensory play. 👋✨

Experiences like this provide wonderful opportunities for our little learners to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory awareness and curiosity, while building confidence to explore new and exciting textures at their own pace.

There were plenty of curious expressions, big smiles and colourful, messy moments along the way! 💙🌈
