5 years ago I launched Maddocks Mindset with the aim to help the next generation of poker players reach their fullest potential.

With my background as a life coach, I realise there is more to teaching poker than just applying strategy and mindset.

It's about 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 and guiding them to their own epiphanies so the lessons truly stick.

It's about 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚'𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢 beyond what they think they are capable of.

It's about 𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙚 through unique methods that increase their ability to execute at the table.

I'm not a 'player first- coach second'.
I'm a coach first. Coaching is my passion.
And perhaps that's why when a client finishes a coaching package, they re-sign 93% of the time.

Nikki Turner off to a hot start at MGM with a 🏆❗️

Congrats Nikki!!!

🏆🇦🇺 𝗩𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗡𝗜𝗞𝗞𝗜 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗥 🇦🇺🏆

Former #1 ranked Australian female player on the GPI (2023), Nikki Turner has added another impressive achievement to her poker résumé, taking down the MGM Women's Poker Week $250 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em event in Las Vegas.

The tournament attracted 164 entries, with 19 players making the money, as women from around the world gathered at MGM Grand Las Vegas for a feature event of Women's Poker Week.

After a marathon grind, Turner battled her way to heads-up play where a deal was struck, with both players collecting USD $7,398. Nikki was officially awarded the title and trophy.

🏆 Nikki Turner (Australia)
🥇 1st Place
💰 USD $7,398*
👥 164 Entries
🎟️ $250 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em
📍 MGM Grand Las Vegas

*Heads-up deal with both remaining players receiving USD $7,398.

The victory was made even sweeter by the way it unfolded.

According to Nikki, she spent much of the tournament nursing a stack of just 10-12 big blinds before finding herself card dead through much of the final table and five-handed play, but she kept hanging in and battling, then came the turnaround.

A late surge saw her spin up her stack, storm through the field, and ultimately claim the trophy in true never-say-die fashion.

💬 "I was on fumes for most of the tourney like 10-12bbs and then super card dead on FT and 5 handed and then had a massive turnaround… yew. Never give up… 💪🏆"

As part of Women's Poker Week, Nikki also received recognition with Women's Poker Association (WPA) trophy along with the official MGM trophy, adding another memorable achievement to her Las Vegas poker résumé.

Congratulations Nikki on a fantastic result and for flying the Australian flag high in Las Vegas! 🇦🇺👏🏆
