Goodstart Bracken Ridge will be closed Wednesday the 12th of August 2026 for the Ekka Public Holiday.

Our Kindergarten children enjoyed their monthly visit to the local library, where they explored the joy of books, stories, and learning together. 📚✨Regular library visits help foster a love of reading, build early literacy skills, encourage curiosity, and strengthen our children's connection with the wider community. It was wonderful to see the children's excitement as they discovered new books and shared stories with their friends.

Our Centre children have been exploring the much-loved story of The Three Little Pigs through hands-on play, creativity and imagination. Using recycled materials and natural resources, the children worked together to create the three houses while talking about the different materials and what makes them strong.
Story experiences like these support children's language development, early problem-solving skills, creativity and teamwork, while encouraging them to explore the world around them through meaningful, play-based learning.
We are so proud of our little learners and the wonderful ideas they shared throughout this experience!

Our Nursery 2 children have been lovingly caring for the vegetables and herbs growing in their outdoor garden. From watering the plants to watching them grow, these everyday moments are helping our youngest learners develop a sense of responsibility, patience, and care for the world around them.

By connecting with nature from an early age, children learn the importance of looking after living things and protecting our environment. These hands-on experiences nurture curiosity, build confidence, and inspire a lifelong love of sustainability—one little plant at a time. 🌿🌼

When we read with a child, we’re doing far more than sharing a story. We’re building the foundations for language, confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Hearing rich varied language in books exposes children to far more words than everyday conversation alone. This growing vocabulary helps them understand, communicate and make sense of the world.

We begin NAIDOC Week by celebrating and honouring the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
To mark the beginning of NAIDOC Week, our children are invited to explore a beautiful collection of traditional-inspired musical instruments through hands-on play and discovery. Children are encouraged to observe, listen and wonder.
Through this experience, children develop curiosity, creativity and an appreciation of the rich cultural traditions of Australia's First Nations Peoples. We look forward to engaging in meaningful learning experiences throughout the week as we celebrate the importance of storytelling, music, culture and connection to Country.

There’s something powerful about pausing to reflect on our reflections, where we started and where we are now! These changes in our Nursery 2 yard are more than just physical improvements—they reflect our ongoing journey of intentional teaching and responsive planning. By listening to children and valuing their voices, we’ve strengthened their sense of belonging and agency within the space. We’re so proud of how these spaces now foster connection, creativity, and engagement. Most importantly, we celebrate the children—whose ideas, curiosity, and enthusiasm continue to shape our environment every day.
