☀️National Simultaneous Day 2026

☀️Children from all over Australia are taking part in this special event at their schools or Kindy’s to inspire them to become avid book readers and develop their literacy skills .

☀️This morning we had Miss Plantaine from the Holland Park Library come and read the special story “Luna Roo”
to the children!
☀️She gifted us with the book and sang wonderful interactive songs .

☀️Thank you Holland Park Library

🌿 The kindergarten children are learning about the lifecycle of seeds!

Also learning about sustainability by using their own recycled containers, soil and everything we need to know about how to help our little gardens to grow 🌿

🌿 We can’t wait to see our herbs grow each day 🤗

The children loved their Pasta Bolognaise with Vegetables for lunch today !
Lots of second serves and happy tummies . 🤗
The children then enjoyed their favourite Afternoon Tea of Cheese and Cruskits, pear, rockmelon , cucumber and sultanas 🍐🥒 🧀

Morning we had with incredible activities with other children in the community at Seville Road State School

☀️KINDY SCIENCE ☀️
We love to learn about our bodies with Miss Camille !

We learnt more about our organs in our body and how they function and also about blood circulation in our bodies!

We also got to use real stethoscopes to listen to each other’s heart beats

🙌We had Ms Angelique here today from a team we are closely working with called SPELD Queensland

☀️Miss Angelique focused on teaching children how to communicate with each other but not just by using our words but also adding actions and pictures .

☀️Key Multi-Sensory Strategies Supported by SPELD Qld:

☀️Cued Articulation: Hand signals are used to represent specific phonemes (sounds), indicating where the sound is made in the mouth, how it is made, and whether it is voiced.

☀️Visual Aids/Pictures: Using imagery to pair with sounds and words enhances memory and comprehension.

☀️Jolly Phonics Hand Signs: Specific gestures are paired with letter sounds to create a physical memory of the letter.

☀️Key Word Sign (KWS): Using signs alongside speech to support language development, particularly in early childhood.
