🎒 Parent Information Night - School Readiness 🎒

Is your child starting Prep in 2027?

Join us at Stafford Heights Kindergarten on Wednesday 26th August 2026 for an informative evening focused on helping families prepare for the transition to school.

Please arrive at 6.45 pm for a 7.00 pm start.

We are pleased to welcome a panel of guest speakers, including the Principal of Stafford Heights State School, experienced Prep teachers and early childhood professionals, including a Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.

The evening will cover practical information about:
* school readiness and key developmental milestones
* supporting independence, learning and wellbeing at home
* practical ways to help your child feel confident about starting school
* what families can expect as they prepare for Prep

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from experienced educators and professionals.

📚 Only 5 more sleeps until our Annual Scholastic Book Fair! 📚

Stafford Heights Kindergarten is excited to be hosting our Scholastic Book Fair from 24th to 28th August 2026 as part of our Book Week celebrations.

Our Book Fair gives children the opportunity to discover new books, share stories and continue building a lifelong love of reading. 💛

It also helps our kindergarten earn additional books and literacy resources that benefit our current children and future kindy families.

We would love the support of our local community. Purchasing a book from our Book Fair or making a small financial contribution will help increase our Book Fair total and provide even more wonderful books and literacy resources for our kindy.

Every contribution, large or small, will make a meaningful difference.

There has been a lot of action at Kindy over the last few weeks with the roof being replaced over our kindy room and verandah by Queensland Quality Roofing.

Thank you to our Executive and Maintenance/Building Committees for working together to make this happen as part of our Capital Works Grant.

Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Our 2-Day Group returns on Monday 13 July, and our 3-Day Group returns on Wednesday 15 July.

Today we acknowledged National Sorry Day at the Teralba Park Stolen Generations Support Group morning ceremony.
