Today, on Principal’s Day, we celebrate an extraordinary leader.
Kelly leads with unwavering integrity, genuine compassion, and a deep belief in every young person who walks through our gates. She inspires those around her not through words alone, but through the way she shows up each day - with authenticity, kindness, courage, and an unwavering commitment to our school community.
Thank you, Kelly, for your guidance, your heart, your vision, and your courage - for making Millenba a place where students and staff feel seen, valued, and empowered. We are incredibly grateful for all that you do.
There are many principals, but there is only one Kelly O’Toole 💫

Finding their voice in English! 🗣️
Our students have been exploring the art of persuasion by identifying persuasive language features and discovering how great speakers engage an audience.
Using strategies such as emotive language, rhetorical questions, modality and the “power of three”, students are building their confidence by experimenting with these techniques and learning how to communicate their ideas in a clear, convincing and engaging way.

We know that many young people spend a significant amount of time on their devices. Our Guidance Officer recently shared this helpful article, which offers practical strategies to support teenagers—and ourselves—to develop healthier device habits. Small actions really can make a big difference.

Our Food Technology students enjoyed creating delicious baked potatoes with a variety of fresh, colourful toppings.
One of our talented students made a spinach and cashew pesto using fresh spinach and herbs picked straight from our school garden – a wonderful paddock-to-plate moment!
Both classes worked brilliantly together to plan, coordinate and prepare this popular meal. With vibrant colours, delicious flavours and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked potatoes, there was something for everyone to enjoy!
Medieval Europe is our topic in HASS this term, and this week we explored battles and the weapons used during that period. Students enjoyed making mini catapults and launching their projectiles to see how far and how high they could go.

To wrap up the term, our Food Tech groups baked delicious Hot Cross Buns from scratch!
Students explored a range of flavours, including traditional fruit, fruit-free, choc chip, and a standout baked custard variety with coconut that caramelised beautifully.
As the saying goes, we eat with our eyes first — and these creations certainly didn’t disappoint!
Wishing our school community a safe, relaxing, and delicious Easter break from the Food Tech kitchen 🐣🍫
