Opening doors for future Blue Dogs. 🐶🌟

We are delighted to announce the introduction of three full residential scholarships to Emmanuel College in 2027.

Born from the generosity of a growing number of alumni who know how life-changing their college experience was, these scholarships are designed to make the Emmanuel experience possible for students from regional and rural areas facing financial hardship who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to join our community and access higher education.

By covering the full cost of residential fees, these scholarships will open doors for students to live and study in Brisbane, ensuring they can pursue higher education and realise their full potential.

More than financial support, these scholarships create pathways for students to discover the lifelong friendships, academic support and strong sense of belonging that all define the Emmanuel experience.

🌟Semester 2 Careers Dinner Wrap Up🌟

What a semester of inspiring conversations, new connections and career opportunities!

Our First Year, Medicine & Allied Health, Mathematics & Science, and HASS Careers Dinners brought Emmanuel residents together with industry professionals and alumni to hear real stories, ask burning questions and build valuable connections beyond the College.🤝🏽

These evenings are an important part of the Emmanuel experience, facilitating professional platforms for students to channel their curiosity, broaden their perspectives and navigate their studies.🔗

A huge thank you to our external guests, panelists, alumni, and staff who generously shared their time, knowledge and experiences with our residents!🗣️

Over the past few weeks, Emman students have been putting their ideas into action through the UQ Ventures Entrepreneurship Program, developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges!🌏

A huge congratulations to Sam Fisher, who took out first place and the $3,000 prize for his idea to develop retrofit reversing sensors for agricultural machinery! 🚜💡

The program gave students the opportunity to develop their ideas alongside UQ Ventures experts, academics and industry mentors before pitching them to a panel of judges.

Congratulations to Sam and everyone who took part in the program. It was fantastic to see our students getting creative, solving problems and turning their ideas into something with real-world potential! 💙🐶🏆

💙🏡 EMMAN @ HOME 🏡💙

Last Thursday, we came together for one of our signature events on the Emmanuel calendar! 🗓️

With our undergrads, postgrads and staff in attendance, the Quad was filled with great company, canapé’s, beverages and entertainment from our very own band, Underwater Martin! 🎶🥂

A special highlight of the evening was celebrating our incredible Community Award recipients, recognising those who have gone above and beyond within Emmanuel and externally as well! It was also lovely to hear an address from our 2026 Social Executives, recapping and reflecting on the year that was. ⭐️

We are so proud to call Emmanuel our second family, and to have had the opportunity to stop, reflect and celebrate as one! 🐶🙌🏽

Our Blue Dogs showed up in force, filling the theatre to support the cast and watch them perform 💙🐶

BLUE DOG DASH 2026 💙🐶🏃‍♀️

A huge congratulations and thank you to our Blue Dog Dash Committee for their incredible efforts in bringing the day together. It was amazing to see so many people from the Emmanuel and wider community show up and take on the 5km and 10km courses 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Together, we raised an incredible $6,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation 💙

The morning was made even better with coffee from Hetty & Herm’s ☕️, and we were lucky to have stem cell donor representatives there to chat about becoming a donor and give attendees the opportunity to get swabbed Stem Cell Donors Australia ❤️

This event would not be what it is without former Emmanuel resident Charlotte Dukino and her family, whose connection to the cause continues to be at the heart of Blue Dog Dash 🫶

Thank you to everyone who ran, donated, volunteered and supported the day. What an incredible effort from our community 💙🐶
