Our Kansai athletes represented Queensland with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship. We couldn’t be prouder of them.
🏆 4 Gold Medals & National Champions
🥈 3 Silver Medals
🥉 4 Bronze Medals
We also had three athletes selected to compete in the team events on Sunday. Both teams fought exceptionally well and brought home silver medals for Queensland, an incredible achievement!
To every athlete, coach, parent and supporter, thank you for your hard work and dedication throughout the season. The medals are a reflection of countless hours of training, but it’s the resilience, courage and team spirit you showed that we’re most proud of.
A huge thank you to all of the Queensland State Coaches for everything you do behind the scenes to make championships like this possible. A special thank you to our Kansai representatives Junko Oiwa, Jamie Kelly and Kyle Robinson. Your passion, dedication and commitment to our athletes played a huge part in Queensland’s success, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.
We’d also like to acknowledge Isaac Voorn for representing Queensland as a referee, Jason Sallaway for volunteering his time through the championships, and our Queensland Team Captains Kento Oiwa and Grace Price for their leadership and support of the team. Thank you all for your contribution to an unforgettable Nationals.
Our 2026 season hasn’t wrapped up just yet, good luck to our athletes heading to the Thailand Open in August to represent Australia, and of course Kento as he heads to the World Championships in October. 🩷🖤
