Position title: Drama Teacher, Teaching Assistant & Workshop Facilitators (Brisbane)

Contract Hours: Casual
Location: Brisbane

We are seeking new Drama Teachers, Teaching Assistants & Workshop Facilitators to join our dedicated staff.

This is an ideal job for anyone who has a:
• Love for the creative industries, specifically drama;
• Passion for supporting children in learning new techniques and skills; and
• Longing to work with a supportive and creative team.
• Experience working with/teaching children.

Shifts will be between 2 to 2.5 hours, Monday to Friday afternoons.

Successful applicants will have:
• An ability to travel to various locations and ideally have your own reliable transport.
• Experience in the Creative Arts (such as drama, musical theatre, performance art, music or dance).
• Experience working with children (such as babysitting, studying Early Childhood or Education, sports coaching or tutoring, or working with children within a school or extra curricular setting).
• A current paid (P) Blue Card or the ability to obtain one.
• Current First Aid and CPR training or the ability to obtain.
• Reliable mobile phone.

Sessions are for children aged 3-5 years. Tuesday mornings are at Robertson Park, Taringa from 10-12 and Wednesday mornings are at Orleigh Park, West End from 10-12.

Little ones will love learning through play with hoops, tunnels, puppets, stories, music, movement and so much more! 🎶📚

As a Drama Teacher your key role within the classroom is to create a safe and supportive learning environment for the students so that they can build their confidence and performance skills. You will work hard to understand and cater for each individual student and school. You will be dedicated to developing the students skills in drama and help them achieve their dramatic potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, your key role within the classroom is to assist the teacher to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for the students so that the class runs smoothly. You must be actively involved within all aspects of the events leading up to, during and after the class. You will work closely with your teacher to understand and cater for each individual student and school. You are the teacher’s superhero, fly in to assist them!
