This workshop is for people who want to learn the fundamentals of woodwork.

Traditionally woodwork has been the domain of those who have had the advantage of training from a young age through parents and grand parents. This program assumes that the participants have no prior knowledge thus the course is suitable for women and the absolute raw beginner. Participants will cover a range of key topics including:

- How to design and setout an object
- Materials and how to order them
- Hand tool technique
- Making joints and assembling an object
- Finishing

In a supportive environment participant’s design and construct two objects utilizing a range of techniques. Participants receive a workshop manual that consolidates all aspects of work covered with text, illustrations and recommended further reading; all materials required are supplied. Besides the practical elements, this course opens doors for new woodworkers, an opportunity to enter a universal craft adored by millions. Tuesdays 6.30pm – 9.30pm
Thursdays 6.30pm – 9.30pm
Saturdays 1.30pm – 4.30pm
