We’re so pleased that Ubuntu Thrift Shop are supporting 4 of our young artists to join our Highwire Workshops. Thanks to their support, these participants get an opportunity to push the boundaries of their circus practice, add a specialty to their skill set and (most importantly) have a blast with their peers in the welcoming, supportive environment Flipside is famous for.

Thank you Ubuntu Thrift Shop

Thanks to all our families, volunteers, and young performers that made Circus Weekends such a highlight. Between donations, tickets, food and drink, we raised over $3,600 towards our new pin rails. Thank you all for making it such a great event!

And thanks to Cathi and Geoff from Creative Futures Photography for capturing beautiful photos.

Highwire 101 beginners workshops these school holidays!

Walk the Sky is a 90-minute highwire experience for first-timers aged 8 and up. Begin on the low tight wire, learning the fundamentals in a supportive, step-by-step environment. Then, when you’re ready, it’s time to go higher!

Harnessed and guided by our experienced trainers, you’ll take on the highwire at approximately six metres. That mix of nerves and exhilaration is all part of the experience – and by the end, fear has a habit of turning into pride.

Come ready to surprise yourself.

📅 Wed 23 Sept, 10.15am or 11am
📍 Brisbane Circus Centre
⏱️ Duration: 90 minutes
