Capers Early Learning - Northgate

The centre includes 6 rooms and provides long day care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. We also We also run a government approved kindergarten program.

Completed in early 2016, the Northgate Kids Capers Childcare incorporates state of the art design with engaging green spaces. We have used the best of modern technology alongside solar energy, rain harvesting, recycling practices and natural playscapes to create a unique environment for children and their families. As part of the Kids Capers network our new centre is managed by a team of passionate and highly qualified educators. Kids Capers looks forward to becoming a part of the wider Northgate community and welcomes any enquires.

🦎💙 Meet Pablo, our resident Blue Tongue Lizard! 💙🦎

Have you met Pablo yet? He’s a very special part of our childcare community and always gets lots of curious little visitors!

The children love watching Pablo, learning about what he eats, where he lives, and how we can care for and respect our amazing Australian wildlife. 🌿

Pablo gives us wonderful opportunities to encourage the children’s curiosity, observation skills and love of nature while learning how to gently and respectfully interact with living creatures.

We think Pablo is pretty lucky to have so many little friends looking out for him! 🥰🦎💙

There’s always something exciting to see! 👀💛

We are very lucky that our Playgroup upstairs has some big windows where we can watch all the cars, trucks and busy world go by!

And it’s even better when we have friends to share it with. 🥰 Watching together brings lots of smiles, pointing, chatting and excitement as we spot all the different vehicles.

Sometimes the simplest moments make the best memories. 💕

Today our Dingoes had an action-packed day at SparkLab in South Bank! 🔬✨
The children put their minds and bodies to the test as they explored the exciting world of science through hands-on challenges.

💪 They tested their strength and teamwork as they challenged themselves to pull their way along ropes.
🚗 They put their creative thinking to work designing cars and experimenting with what makes them go fast or slow.
🧠 Along the way, they were encouraged to question, problem-solve, experiment and discover how science is part of the world around us.

At Capers, we are so grateful to have opportunities like this where our children can step outside the centre, experience new environments and discover what the world has to offer. 🌏❤️

Who knows… we may have some future scientists, engineers and inventors among our Dingoes! 🧑‍🔬🚀

Congratulations to the wonderful Miss Sabina for being awarded our Educator of the Quarter!
Miss Sabina was voted by her peers and leadership team for the wonderful contributions she makes to the centre, the collaborative relationships she has built with her fellow educators and of course for the nurturing, caring relationships she has with our children.

Recently Kim from Deadly Kindies popped in for yarn about all the things they support our First Nations families with, in particular our Kindy children.
It was great hear all about the medical services available from the local Northgate Medical Clinic.
Deadly Kindies is a key strategy in addressing the Government’s priority focus to increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families access to effective and integrated health care and early childhood education and development, in particular, participation in Kindergarten at the same levels as non-indigenous Queenslanders.

Yesterday we celebrated First Responders Day with a special visit from the Queensland Ambulance Service. The children were treated to a story about First Responders before trying on some uniforms and the most exciting part - getting to go inside the Ambulance. What a highlight of the day!
Thank you Florence for sharing your mum with us and the important job she has to help people. We are super lucky to have wonderful parents to share amazing experiences with our little people.

On Tuesday last week, team members from our Clayfield, Northgate and Samford Centres attended the National Sorry Day- Teralba Park Ceremony which is run by the Teralba Park Stolen Generation Support Group Inc.

At Capers Early Learning we acknowledge National Sorry Day as a day of remembering those children and families that were taken from their loved ones and the impact this had on their lives. This was also an opportunity for learning and reflection of how we can continue on our journey towards Reconciliation.
