From New Caledonia to Brisbane: The Silent Cry of Flowers

Experience the powerful contemporary dance work by New Caledonian choreographer Sthan Kabar-Louët , presented in Brisbane for two exclusive Australian performances.

The Silent Cry of Flowers brings together contemporary dance, classical influences and Pacific perspectives in an evocative exploration of identity, memory, resilience and cultural connection.

Say Cheese! is a nationwide photography competition open to everyone across Australia, and we are proud to have renowned French-Australian photographer Martine Perret as our Ambassador :
“ I encourage photographers from across the Alliance Française network in Australia to take part in this competition. Your perspective matters, and your images will become part of the bicentenary of photography. Say Cheese!.”

Le RENDEZ-VOUS du Directeur | Épisode 11

On June 23, 2026, the historian and Resistance fighter Marc Bloch entered the Panthéon alongside his wife, Simonne Vidal.
In this new episode, Jean-Philippe Bottin introduces us to the life of this great man, who lived his entire life with a deep-seated devotion to France. As the co-founder of the Annales journal, he was at the very heart of reshaping historiography (the study of history) by integrating the discipline into the multidisciplinary field of social sciences.
Fighting for his country in both the First and Second World Wars, he distinguished himself through his Resistance activities in occupied France, before being arrested, tortured, and executed by the Gestapo in Lyon.

Following an international career with the legendary Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Sthan Kabar-Louet brings to Brisbane a deeply moving work that blends contemporary dance, classical technique and Pacific influences into a powerful exploration of identity, memory and resilience.
