Today during group time, Miss Amor brought out her guitar — and the room instantly lit up. As she strummed, the children gathered close, completely captivated by the sound and rhythm. Their curiosity took over as they asked questions, touched the strings, and explored how music is made.
Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be in early childhood. It supports creative expression, builds language development, strengthens fine motor skills, and encourages confidence as children experiment with sound and movement.
We love seeing our little learners so inspired — and we can’t wait for more musical adventures with Miss Amor. 🎼🎸🎼

Annie - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this daycare. The entire team is absolutely amazing — such a warm, supportive and genuinely caring group of educators. Everyone works so well together, and it really shows in the environment they create for the children.
Our children have been at the centre from nursery all the way through to kindy, and we’ve had a fantastic experience in every single room along the way. The consistency of care, attention and quality of learning at each stage has been outstanding.
They know every child by name, know exactly who each sibling belongs to, and take the time to truly understand each child as an individual. Their learning plans are thoughtfully tailored to suit each child’s needs, and they are always so accommodating and flexible when changes are needed.
They make you feel completely comfortable and confident leaving your children in their care. It’s a wonderful centre, dont be fooled by it not being the flashest out there, Its a nurturing place and we feel so lucky our son and daughter are part of it. Highly recommend.😀💖

✨ Colour Sorting: More Than Just Play! 🎨🧮
At Goodstart Morningside Wynnum Road, we love watching children dive into hands‑on activities that feel like play but build real‑world skills. One of our favourites is sorting colours — a simple activity with powerful links to early mathematics.
🌈 Why Colour Sorting Matters
When children sort objects by colour, they’re not just learning colours — they’re building the foundations of mathematical thinking. Sorting helps children:
Recognise patterns — noticing similarities and differences is the first step toward understanding sequences and order.
Classify objects — grouping items strengthens logical thinking, a key skill for problem‑solving.
Build early numeracy — once children sort, they naturally begin to count, compare quantities, and talk about “more”, “less”, and “same”.
Develop language — describing colours and groups boosts vocabulary and communication.

🌱 Our Little Gardeners in Action! 🌼
This week our toddler group has been busy nurturing something very special — their very own flower and vegetable gardens. With curious minds and gentle hands, they helped plant, pat down the soil, and give each plant a big, refreshing drink of water.
We’ve been talking a lot about caring for living things, using our gentle hands, and showing kindness to our environment. Watching the children take pride in their garden has been such a beautiful reminder of how capable and compassionate they are.
We can’t wait to see what grows — and neither can they 🌿💛

🌱 Our children have been spending time caring for our garden, and the learning that grows from these moments is incredible.
By watering plants, checking the soil, and noticing new leaves or flowers, they’re developing responsibility, patience, and an understanding of how living things grow.
Gardening also builds early science skills as children observe changes, ask questions, and make predictions.
Little hands, big learning.🌱

🚌 In our kindergarten room, writing is woven into everyday learning to support strong school‑readiness.
During our current transport inquiry, children have been creating their own imaginative vehicles and practising using accurate letter formation and phonetic spelling to describe their ideas. 📝
This process encourages early literacy, problem‑solving, and the ability to communicate their thinking clearly — all essential skills for their next learning journey.
Bookings are now open for Kindy for 2027 if you would like to secure your child's place in our amazing Kindergarten program run my Fully Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teachers please email [email protected] or call 33993599

NATURE PAINTING!
Our nursery children have been busy exploring the beauty of nature through painting, and the learning happening behind those little brushstrokes is incredible.
They’re developing fine‑motor skills, learning to observe details, experimenting with colour mixing, and building a deeper connection to the natural world.
Most importantly, they’re discovering that creativity can bloom anywhere — even from a leaf or a flower . 🌳🌹🌼🌸
We’re so proud of their curiosity and imagination.
