Supporting children with food allergies starts with safe, informed food practices.
The All about Allergens Kitchen Handbook, developed by the National Allergy Council, provides practical guidance on menu planning, reading food labels, preventing cross-contamination and ensuring the right food is served to the right child. The Kitchen Handbook is the companion handbook for the All about Allergens for Children’s Education and Care online food allergen management training.
Explore the handbook and strengthen food allergy awareness in your service.

I wanted to share this video that was included in one of my recent UNI subject study modules. It’s a quick view, and a friendly reminder of how in Australia especially, we have so many diverse and different cultures amongst us.
As educators, we should be both curious and supportive of this. Reflecting on different cultural upbringings and backgrounds to guide your curriculum, programs and practices.
AND NO - I don’t mean hanging flags, and having signs that say HELLO in different lanaguges. I mean getting to know your families, their practices, routines, celebrations ect.
My Challenge for you this TERM is to get curious!
Cultural Differences National Geographic Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
Hands up if you’ve experienced this atleast once before. 🙏 🙋🏼♀️
Haha common, you know you wanna make one! The parent in me says Heck no, but the kid is me says a big fat YES! 😝

Late share sorry, but I wanted to post because I thought the poem was beautiful.
🌿 National Eucalypt Day is coming on 23rd March… are you ready to think outside the box? 🌿
2026 Theme: Our Eucalypt Home
Our Eucalypt trees are more than just trees…
They are homes, healers, story holders and protectors of Mother Earth & Her Gifts.
This National Eucalypt Day, we invite you to be brave and courageous in your practice…
✨ How will you help your Future Old People connect, care and understand?
🌿 Let’s start the conversations…
• Who lives in our Eucalypt trees?
• How do these trees protect our animals and our skies?
• What do our Old People teach us about caring for Mother Earth?
🌿 Ideas to Weave & Connect:
🍃 Go on a “Connecting with your Feet” walk to find Eucalyptus trees in your local area
🍃 Collect fallen leaves, bark and gumnuts to create art with meaning and purpose
🍃 Create a “Home for the Animals” a collage showing who lives in the trees around you
🍃 Share stories and yarn with families about what Eucalypts mean in your community
🍃 Use your senses — smell the leaves, listen to the wind, notice the life they hold
🌿 For Families & Community:
Invite your People Around You to join in…
Encourage your families to take a walk with their Future Old People, ask them to share stories, and reflect on how they can care for Our Eucalypt Home together.
Because when we learn to care for the trees… we are learning to care for Mother Earth, our animals, and each other 🤎
