AUSSIE WORLD | The fourth instalment of our Academy of Performing Arts Concert Series, Aussie World, was a vibrant celebration of Australian culture, creativity and talent.

From iconic Aussie characters to outstanding performances from our Primary ensembles and energetic routines from our emerging young dancers, the evening showcased the incredible gifts, growth and hard work of our students.

Thank you Citipointe community for your continued support of our students and the Academy of Performing Arts. Your presence and encouragement helps create opportunities for students to grow in confidence and develop their God-given talents.

We look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming Dance and SPARK Acting showcase evenings as we continue celebrating the creativity and achievements of our students.

This or That? 🤔🎡 You may be asking yourself that a lot at the Citipointe Country Carnival because there's something for everyone at our biggest community event of the year. Food, games, market stalls, live entertainment and fireworks, everyone has their favourite. The answers might be different, but one thing's for sure, you won't want to miss this year's Country Carnival on Saturday 12 September.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE | We celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of our Secondary students, recognising 143 students across Years 7-11 for excellence in their Semester 1 studies.

A total of 69 students received Academic Excellence Awards, achieving straight A's across every subject, while 74 students received Academic Achievement Awards, reflecting the hard work, perseverance and dedication they demonstrated throughout the semester.

Every achievement represents a unique journey of growth, commitment and perseverance. We celebrate these students for the example they set and the positive influence they have within our College community.

MEET OUR PEOPLE | For Citipointe Academy of Performing Arts brass tutor and Ensemble Director Miss Inge Dekker, music is far more than notes on a page, it’s a powerful way to tell stories, express emotion and help students discover their own voice.

Alongside her work at Citipointe, Miss Dekker is an accomplished educator, performer and composer. She teaches and directs ensembles, performs with the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra and Resonance of Birralee, and has had her original compositions performed by leading ensembles.

Passionate about nurturing confidence, creativity and self-expression, Inge is committed to creating an environment where every student feels valued, encouraged and inspired to grow.

FIRST IN CHESS | Citipointe's chess players delivered an outstanding performance at the Term 2 Interschool Chess Competition hosted by Churchie, highlighted by a 1st place result in the Premier Division.

Congratulations to Joshua W, who achieved Premier Division Individual Champion, while the Citipointe Premier team of Joshua W, Eli W, Zachary C and Clyde S claimed 1st place overall against some of the strongest competition in the event. Strong results continued across the other divisions, with a 2nd place team finish in Division B, a 1st and 3rd place team finish in Division D.

We are excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for our growing chess champions.

TERM 3 ACADEMY SPORT | The Independent Schools Championship is well underway, with our Basketball and Touch Football teams already enjoying a strong start to this round of fixtures.

From Years 5 to 12, students continue to develop their skills through competition. Each match provides valuable opportunities to grow in confidence, build resilience and challenge themselves against strong opposition.

Be sure to come along and support our teams throughout the season as they represent Citipointe with excellence and give their best in every match.

PRIMARY ATHLETICS CARNIVALS | Our youngest athletes gave their all at our recent Athletics Carnivals, chasing personal bests, encouraging their peers and embracing every opportunity to compete with enthusiasm and determination.

Whether on the track, in the field or cheering from the sidelines, students demonstrated resilience, and a willingness to give their best. We celebrate the unique God-given talents and abilities they continue to develop.

Thank you to our families who came out to cheer and encourage, and to the staff who organised the event and supported our students throughout the day.

What a remarkable result. Congratulations to Ullrich (Class of 2024) on claiming silver at the Commonwealth Games and continuing an incredible season. A well-deserved achievement.

MULLER’S SILVER MOMENT 🥈🥈

After a breakout year in 2025, Ullrich Muller has secured his first global medal in the 100m T38, crossing the line in 11.19 (+0.2).

Muller charged down the straight to finish second behind England’s Thomas Young, securing his place on the Commonwealth Games podium.
