If you've driven past our centre before, you may have noticed we're a little different.
Through our research, we've learned that our building was once a church, and we think that's pretty special.

With its large classrooms, soaring ceilings and homely atmosphere, it's easy to see why this space has always been a place where people come together.
Today, it's filled with children's laughter, learning, curiosity and connection. 💛

We feel incredibly lucky to call this beautiful building home and to be part of such a wonderful community here in Stafford Heights.

💦✨ Just add water... and watch the learning begin! ✨💦

Some of the best learning happens when children gather together around a shared experience. Our Toddler children spent time exploring, pouring, scooping, splashing, and discovering as they investigated this inviting water play experience.

Through simple moments like these, children are building communication skills, learning alongside their peers, experimenting with cause and effect, and developing confidence as they make their own discoveries. 🌿💙

There was plenty of teamwork, lots of curiosity, and of course, a few splashes along the way!

A cardboard box has officially become the most popular toy in the room! 🤣

Today we've seen boxes transformed into cars, cubbies, spaceships, and who knows what else. The children's imaginations have been working overtime as they create, explore, and make their own adventures.

Proof that sometimes the best toys don't need batteries, flashing lights, or instruction manuals... just a little imagination. ✨💛

💛 Welcome to Our Nursery 💛

Our Nursery is thoughtfully designed to be a calm, nurturing environment where our youngest learners can settle, explore, and develop secure relationships from the very beginning of their learning journey.

With soft lighting, natural elements, and cosy spaces, every detail has been carefully considered to support children’s wellbeing, curiosity, and sense of belonging.

One of the things we love most about our Nursery is the continuity it provides for families. Many of our babies have older siblings in our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten rooms, creating familiar connections throughout the centre and strengthening our sense of community.

Even more special, several of the children graduating from our Kindergarten program this year first walked through our doors as babies in our Nursery. Watching those children grow from their earliest milestones into confident, capable learners is something we’re incredibly proud of.

At Goodstart Stafford Heights, we don’t just support children through a stage of learning. We support families through years of growth, development, and achievement.

🕸️🔍 Mission Impossible: Nursery Edition! 🔍🕸️

The challenge was simple... get the treasures without getting stuck in the tape spider web! 😆

Our Nursery children put their problem-solving skills to the test as they reached, stretched, poked, and carefully navigated their way through this fun sensory invitation to play. Along the way, they were developing hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, concentration, and persistence.

Who knew a little tape could create so much excitement? 💙✨

🐠💙 Our Fishy Friends Are Making a Splash! 💙🐠

Have you met the newest members of our Stafford Heights community? 🐟✨

Located in our front office where families sign children in and out each day, our fish tank has quickly become a favourite stop for many of our little learners. Even better, our Nursery and Toddler children can view the tank through the office window that backs onto their playground, allowing them to check in on their fishy friends throughout the day.

Whether it's during morning arrivals, outdoor play, or on the way home, the children love stopping to observe the fish swimming, exploring, and interacting with their environment. These moments spark curiosity, conversations, and plenty of excitement as children share their observations with educators and friends.

Our fish tank has become more than just a beautiful feature in the office. It's helping children develop a sense of wonder about the natural world, encouraging observation skills, and fostering caring relationships with living things. 🫧🐠

🐋🌊 Under the Sea Adventures in Nursery! 🌊🐙

Our Nursery children have been diving into a world of imagination and sensory exploration with this ocean-inspired small world experience! 💙

Using water, sand, and a collection of sea creatures, the children explored textures, made discoveries, and created their own underwater stories. From splashing waves to searching for whales, sharks, and octopuses, every scoop, splash, and touch supported their curiosity and learning.

Experiences like these encourage sensory development, language growth, early science concepts, and imaginative play, all while having lots of fun! 🐳✨

We loved watching the children investigate their miniature ocean, developing confidence and creativity as they explored the wonders of life beneath the waves. 🌊💙
