ART ~
Congratulations to MMC artists Blaze and Koormurri-Rose who have been recognised in the 2026 Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation Creative Arts Competition!
Blaze was awarded 1st place in the Year 10 Sculpture category, and Koormurri-Rose received 3rd place in the Year 12 Painting category.
With 259 entries submitted from across Queensland, the competition showcased an exceptional standard of creativity, with works judged on artistic merit and connection to the 2026 Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week themes.
This remarkable achievement reflects the creativity, talent, and cultural storytelling of these remarkable artists. We are incredibly proud of Blaze and Koormurri-Rose for sharing their voices through art.

Congratulations to Year 12 seniors Capri, Liz, Madeline, Marley, Ava, and Hannah, who recently completed a Certificate IV in Justice Studies through Unity College. Throughout the course, our seniors developed valuable knowledge and skills in social justice, legal frameworks, regulatory processes, client communication, and the preparation of documentation for court proceedings. We congratulate these remarkable young women on their dedication and achievement.

NETBALL ~
Congratulations to our Junior and Senior Representative Netball Teams on an outstanding season of competition, commitment, and teamwork.
Throughout the season, both teams proudly represented MMC at the QC Cup and Vicki Wilson Regional Round Tournaments. Our Senior Team also competed at the Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball Tournament (QISSN), joining more than 100 teams from across Queensland.
A special thank you to our dedicated coaches, Senior Team: Robbie and Charlotte, and Junior Team: Chantel and Ameera, for their guidance and support throughout the season.
We are incredibly proud of all players, coaches and supporters who contributed to a fantastic representative netball season.
