Vena Cava Productions is Queensland University of Technology's resident student theatre company. We are committed to providing our members with arts industry-level experiences, training and opportunties in a supportive, safe, and fun environment. We encourage our members to learn, create, and expand theirselves as both an artist and person, as well as connect with those who share your passion.

Welcome to the Bug House where the walls are thin and the rent is high. Enter Fly, Moth, Worm and Ant, the four young inhabitants of this sh*tty Queenslander or - depending on the days substance of choice - vibrant bug utopia. Here, time is as fleeting as a bug's existence and anything can be fixed with a 2pm sesh but when every questionable choice is brushed off with the flick of a lighter and the walls begin to echo with uncomfortable truths, the lines between human and bug begin to blur.
A daring new work by Annabel Gilbert and directed by Liv Gainsford, BUG HOUSE is an exploration of the intoxicating chaos of youth, begging the question do we actually need to grow up to move on?
