๐ National Chaplaincy Week 2026: 31 May โ 7 June ๐
This week, weโre shining a light on the incredible work of school chaplains across Queensland and beyond ๐
Our chaplains play such an important role in supporting the well-being of students, staff and families. Whether itโs lending a listening ear, offering guidance, or simply being a friendly face, they help create a safe and caring environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
At Bardon State School, weโre so grateful for Chappy Sue and the positive impact she has on our school community. From running Chappy Toast every Friday and Lunch Clubs at break time to supporting students through lifeโs ups and downs โ Chappy Sueโs dedication makes a world of difference.

Today, Bardon State School came together to honour ANZAC Day.
Each class created a beautiful wreath, which our SRC Class Representatives respectfully laid during the assembly. Our choir sang beautifully, setting a reflective tone as we paused to remember the bravery, sacrifice, and spirit of the Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women who have served and continue to serve our nations.
We were honoured to be joined by special guests, retired Commander Robert West and retired Captain Rodney Williams, who both served in the Royal Australian Navy and are representatives of the Ashgrove-Bardon RSL.
Following the assembly, families and guests shared ANZAC biscuits, tea and coffee together.
๐น Lest we forget ๐น
