🌈🖐️ Little Hands, Big Learning! 🖐️🌈

Our nursery children have been busy exploring, creating, and learning through hands-on experiences that support their fine motor development and creativity. From grasping and stacking to painting, squeezing, and sensory play, each activity helps strengthen little muscles and develop hand-eye coordination. 🎨✨

During the first two years of life, children's brains are growing rapidly, and every experience helps build important neural connections. 🧠💛 By providing engaging tools and materials, educators encourage children to explore, problem-solve, communicate, and gain confidence in their abilities. These early fine motor experiences lay the foundations for important life skills such as self-feeding, drawing, writing, and dressing as they grow.

Through play, curiosity, and discovery, our little learners are developing independence, creativity, and a love of learning while having so much fun along the way! 🌟🌈

🪱🌱 Wriggles, Giggles & Wormy Wonders! 🌱🪱

What happens when a group of curious Kindergarten children get a brand-new worm farm? Lots of excitement, teamwork, and plenty of wormy conversations! 🤩

A huge thank you to Bunnings Indooroopilly for kindly donating our worm farm. The children had a fantastic time unpacking all the pieces and working together to build a cosy new home for our wriggly friends.

As they explored the worm farm, the children learned that worms are nature's little recyclers! ♻️ They discovered how worms turn fruit and vegetable scraps into nutrient-rich compost that helps our gardens grow. The children were fascinated to learn that something as simple as a banana peel can become food for worms instead of ending up in the bin.

Along the way, we talked about caring for living things, being gentle, and taking responsibility for our worm farm. The children are already excited to help feed the worms, check on their wellbeing, and watch what happens over time.

From sustainability and recycling to science and responsibility, our worm farm is helping us learn that even the smallest creatures can make a BIG difference to our world. 🌏💚

We're looking forward to many more worm investigations and finding out what our hardworking little compost-makers get up to next!

✨💛 PJ Day 2026 at Goodstart Indooroopilly York Street! 💛✨

What a colourful, cosy and fun-filled day we had celebrating PJ Day 2026! 🌈🧸🌟

Our children and educators arrived in their warmest and brightest pyjamas, ready to spend the day learning, laughing and showing their support for this important cause. There were fluffy slippers, favourite character pyjamas, colourful dressing gowns and lots of excitement as everyone compared their cosy outfits with their friends and teachers! 🩷💙💚

The day was filled with conversations about why we were wearing our pyjamas to kindy and how something as simple as putting on our PJs can help raise awareness and support children who may be facing challenges in their lives. ❤️

Events like PJ Day provide valuable opportunities for children to develop empathy, understanding and a sense of community. In the early years, children are learning about kindness, helping others and recognising that everyone has different experiences. By participating in special events like this, we help children understand that even small actions can make a big difference in the lives of others. 🌟

Most importantly, we had so much fun! From sharing stories about our favourite bedtime routines to showing off our cosy slippers, the day was full of smiles, laughter and meaningful learning experiences. 🥰

A big thank you to all our wonderful families for helping make PJ Day 2026 such a special event. Together, we are helping to nurture caring, compassionate and socially aware children who understand the importance of supporting others. 💛

🚆✨ All Aboard for Safety! ✨🚆

Recently, our Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2 children had the exciting opportunity to participate in the Platform Pals Learning Experience with Aaron from Queensland Rail! 🦺💛

Through fun and interactive activities, the children learnt all about staying safe around trains and railway stations. They explored the importance of:
🚦 Staying behind the yellow line
👀 Stop, Look, Listen, Think before crossing
🎈 Identifying safe and unsafe places to play
🧠 Making smart choices around trains and tracks

The children enthusiastically shared their ideas, demonstrated their understanding, and learnt valuable new skills that will help keep them safe in their everyday lives.

Travelling on a train can be a fun and exciting adventure, but it is important to remember that trains are big, fast, and quiet. Learning these safety messages helps children understand how to travel safely with their families and become confident, responsible passengers. 🚉🚂

We are so proud of the way our children engaged in the experience, asked thoughtful questions, and embraced the role of being safe and responsible travellers. 🌟
