📍 10:30am, Mi Casa Cafe, Southbank.
🚆Cafe is right underneath the Southbank Train Station, ground level.
🚶 If you start on the corner of Tribune St and Grey St, you’ll walk up Grey St (uphill), then you’ll pass the Emporium entrance and McDonalds.
☕ Keep going, and Mi Casa Cafe will be on your right!

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
Join us for a casual brunch where lovers, doers and advocates of science come together. It's our friendly, independent social event for anyone passionate about science and its promotion & communication to the public.

At our Science Social events, we meet new friends and welcome old over coffee & brunch at a lovely cafe in Southbank. Our two regular hosts will guide you through a fun array of science-related polls, activities, and thought-provoking group discussions. You can participate as much or as little as you wish: these regular brunches are an opportunity to network with other scientists and science enthusiasts, share interests or projects, dive in to fun activities, and discuss the future of science communication in Brisbane.

This event is for everyone and we'd love to have you! We aim to create a wonderful space for everyone to share their love of science—whether that be your field or work/study, or simply a field you're interested in. Our overall goal is to meet others and understand how we can best communicate our sciences to wider audiences.

Your welcoming hosts are science-enthusiasts Holly and Nate, who created these events out of their passion for using design, music, comedy, and writing to communicate science in their own careers.

Our events are a fun, pressure-free environment. Our regular venue, Mi Casa Cafe, is centrally located in South Brisbane and is wheelchair-accessible. Mi Casa Cafe offers stellar food and drinks!

Social Science participates yearly in National Science Week and is always looking for feedback to grow. If you have any questions/feedback for Nate or Holly, please reach out!
