📖✨Learning Through Our Floorbook✨📖
The children in the Rosella Room loved revisiting their floorbook and reflecting on their recent experiences. Together, they cut, glued, drew and shared stories about the photographs, strengthening their fine motor skills while celebrating their learning. ✂️🖍️📸
Floorbooks are a wonderful way to make children’s learning visible, capturing their **voices, ideas, interests and special moments** while building confidence, belonging and ownership of their learning journey. ❤️

Exploring Smoke, Fire & Big Ideas! 🔥
After noticing smoke in the sky, the children became curious about where it was coming from, sparking conversations about smoke and fire.
Through drawing and discussion, they shared their ideas, listened to others and made connections to the world around them. 🌊🎨
We love seeing children’s curiosity lead their learning! ❤️

🐞🌿 Curious minds in action!🔍
Last week, the children followed their curiosity outdoors, exploring insects and sea creatures using magnifying glasses, specimens and picture cards.
Their investigation soon turned into an imaginative bug hunt, with the children working together, sharing discoveries and developing their own ideas about the natural world. 💚
A wonderful example of child-led learning through exploration, teamwork and play.

Mud Massage⭐️Children led experiences:
This morning, the children decided to mix soil and water to make mud. They watched carefully as the dry soil changed into soft, squishy mud. They talked about how much water was needed and worked together to stir the mixture.
Once the mud was ready, the children had fun applying mud on their arms and hands. They laughed as they explored the cool, slippery texture and described how the mud felt. Some said it was smooth, while others thought it was sticky and soft.
The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, sensory exploration and language development as the children shared ideas, took turns and used descriptive words. They thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on nature experience before washing their hands and reflecting on their muddy adventure.

🦷✨ Brush, Brush, Brush! ✨🦷
Today, our Fairy Penguins had a wonderful time learning all about healthy smiles! Using model teeth and toothbrushes, the children eagerly took turns brushing the top, bottom and all around, making sure every tooth was sparkling clean.
There were lots of giggles, happy conversations and excited little helpers as everyone practised brushing just like they do at home. Through this fun, hands-on experience, the children explored the importance of caring for their teeth while developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, patience, turn-taking and independence.
Learning through play is one of the best ways to build lifelong healthy habits, and today our Fairy Penguins certainly proved that brushing teeth can be lots of fun! We think we're well on our way to having the brightest smiles around! 😁🪥💙
