Dig In: has been established by university students to be the most inclusive charity Brisbane has to offer. We value working together as a community and aim to achieve this by collaborating with individuals from all walks of life to help those in need. Different groups bring different skills, benefits, ideas and thoughts thus, putting this all together allows us to find the best possible solutions for helping others. By us working towards a common purpose, we can develop a platform to do some good and make a difference in the community.

Weekend wrap 🆙

On Saturday we were lucky enough to have a group of volunteers from St Peter’s Lutheran College helping us in the kitchen. The St Peter’s team assisted with preparing our hot meals (vegetable hot pot, fish casserole, and an assortment of chicken dishes), and cutting up our fruit medley (pineapple and oranges).

Thank you St Peters Lutheran College for all of your help, thank you to FareShare for donating our hot meals, and a big thanks to our Dig In volunteers for assisting every Saturday. ❤️

Weekend wrap up! 🔊

Our Dig In helpers were back again on Saturday working hard despite the heat! The meals this past weekend were a medley of different soups and stews, served alongside fresh watermelon 🍉

Weekend wrap 🆙

It was a busy day in the kitchen on Saturday for our Dig In team! On the menu were fish and chicken dishes, as well as some fresh chicken and coleslaw sandwiches. Fruit and chocolates accompanied the meals for something a bit sweet 🍫🍬

Weekend wrap up (Christmas edition)!🎄🎅🏻

We had a wonderful Christmassy themed served on Saturday, assisted by a group of volunteers from Brisbane 4wd Club Inc. These guys, alongside our volunteers, cooked up some delicious spicy chicken hot pot, cheesy chicken and veg, and chicken and mushroom meals. For dessert, we had watermelons, Christmas cakes and chocolate!

On Saturday we had an incredible group of volunteers in the kitchen. The team worked so hard to ensure our tasty meals got out to service, despite having limited hands on the day. Their efforts ensured some delicious roast chicken and coleslaw sandwiches, alongside fruit salad, made it out to those who need it most.

Last Saturday we had the wonderful team from down to help us out in the kitchen! The crew assisted with cooking up some delicious marinated and crumbed chicken with mash and veg, served with bread rolls and fresh fruit.
