While we are very excited to hear from you, please be aware that we reserve the right to moderate this page as we see fit and remove any posts or materials that we deem inappropriate or not beneficial to the wider community. This includes but is not limited to posts that are:

Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

🌿 What’s Been Happening This Week at Goodstart Carindale? 🌿
This week, our Kindergarten children have been using their voices to help shape their learning environment, engaging in thoughtful discussions about how they would like to use their Kindergarten funding. The children shared their ideas, explored different options, and discussed which resources would best support their learning, creativity, and play.

💚 It has been wonderful to see the children actively participating in decisions about new resources for their classroom. Through sharing ideas, listening to others, and discussing what would enhance their learning experiences, the children identified the resources they would like to purchase. These meaningful conversations highlight the important role children play in shaping their environment and demonstrate their growing confidence, agency, and sense of belonging within our Kindergarten community.

Today at Carindale, we took the opportunity to slow down, connect, and enjoy some cupcakes kindly organised by our Centre Director, Amy, while spending time checking in with one another and having meaningful conversations about how we are feeling.

While R U OK? Day is a wonderful reminder of the importance of these conversations, caring for one another shouldn't be limited to just one day each year. Looking after our wellbeing starts with regularly checking in with the people around us, including our colleagues, families, and children.

At Goodstart Carindale, we believe that every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. So today, and every day, we encourage you to take a moment to ask someone a simple but powerful question:

Building Relationships in Our Community

Our Kindergarten Teacher, Kezia, had the wonderful opportunity today to connect and network with other kindergarten teachers from a range of early learning services and community kindergartens. During the session, Kezia meet with other teachers from our local school, sharing ideas and discussing best practices for creating engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments. These valuable professional connections strengthen partnerships within our community, support smooth transitions to school for children, and provide opportunities to exchange innovative ideas that enhance teaching and learning experiences.

We are also proud of Kali, whose more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education continues to enrich our service. Kali had the opportunity to network with the Belmont State School Social Inclusion Team, engaging in meaningful discussions around supporting children and families, fostering inclusion and belonging, strengthening transition-to-school practices, and exploring ways we can work together to ensure every child feels safe, valued and supported. These community partnerships are invaluable in creating positive outcomes for children and strengthening the connections between early learning and school settings.

We are proud of both Kezia and Kali for their commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and building strong relationships within our local community that ultimately benefit our children and families. 🌱
