Today our Year 3 students stepped out into the local community with the Brisbane Urban Environmental Education Centre as part of their History unit of learning.

Students walked around Banyo, investigating what has changed and what has stayed the same over time. They compared old and new features of the local area and took photos of the evidence they discovered along the way.

A great way to bring our local history to life and practise being real historians!

Year 7 Visual Arts:

Over three lessons Year 7 completed these amazing artist books inspired by the beautiful botanicals around our school grounds.

These artist books are combination of mixed media drawing and printing techniques. Starting off with watercolour backgrounds, layered with fine tip markers for detail and the covers were created using geli prints.

If you would like a closer look these will be on display this Friday evening in the Sports Hall.

The Space Seeds investigation concluded on Friday in 4/5 STEM, the Students removed the white clover from the growing medium and measured growth from root to tip.
Class results were recorded and compared to the Swinburne University investigation.
