I'm pleased to share the success of our recent Project Cost Estimation training workshop held in collaboration with Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and AACE International. PPL are going through a period of change and transformation and this workshop marked key step in the journey of enhancing project management capabilities within the organization.
I want to express my gratitude to Pakistan Petroleum Limited for their enthusiastic participation and warm hospitality throughout the workshop. It was a privilege to collaborate with such an engaging team, and I look forward to continuing our journey together.

Last Monday 5th October England’s new National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) was announced. The NIC is an independent body that enables long term strategic decision making to build effective and efficient infrastructure for the UK. The commission will look at the UK’s future needs for nationally significant infrastructure, help to maintain UK’s competitiveness and provide greater certainty for investors by taking a long term approach to the major investment decisions facing the country. 3 days after that announcement I was lucky to attend the UK Infrastructure and Regeneration Conference where the NIC was still hot on the agenda.

It was interesting to attend a panel discussion hosted by London's RICS on Commercial Management in Infrastructure. Lots of interesting dialogue about finding the right balance of early collaboration between contractors and owners whilst maintaining competitive tension. When the panelists were asked which country they believe implements the most effective contractor management process 2 out of 4 nominated Australia.
