Today we celebrate the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia's first saint and patron saint of our Archdiocese. Mary MacKillop and the Sisters of St Joseph arrived in Brisbane on 31 December 1869 and spent their first two weeks in Queensland residing in the All Hallows' Convent.
Her faith, compassion and commitment to serving those in need continues to inspire us.

Y10 Sleepout | Our Y10 students recently took part in our annual Y10 Sleepout, giving up their home comforts to better understand the realities of homelessness.
Through presentations from community groups, students gained valuable insight into the housing crisis and the vital work being done to support those in need. They also decorated calico bags for our partner ministries before settling in for a cold night on the Terrace.
We are so proud of the compassion, empathy and resilience displayed by our Y10 students throughout the evening, and deeply grateful to the staff who generously gave their time and comfort to make this meaningful experience possible 💙
