Great to celebrate project milestones! When the Building Approval (BA) is issued➡️ building work can commence.

Once the certifier's assessment is complete and all required documents are received, a Decision Notice is issued to the applicant (via email). Check the conditions within for project specific requirements. This is where you can find a guide on what forms will need to be submitted to the certifier, as construction progresses.

Your approval package may include:

✔️ Engineering/Form 15s
✔️ Soil report
✔️ Energy report
✔️ Town planning (DA) and siting variation documentation

Builders: to demonstrate compliance with the building approval - check the conditions for project specifics. Provide forms as construction progresses, so you can meet your legislative requirements.

✅ For Class 1a building work: ensure forms like F12s (engineering/ surveying) or F43s (aspect certificate for licensed work eg termite management) are forwarded to the BA&A office, as you receive them.

✅ As/ if required, the Form 16 can then be issued by the certifier, to sign off that stage.

➡️ Once the necessary sign-offs are complete, contact us to book the final inspection. A final list of certificates required will be issued, ready for finalisation and issue of the F21.

Once the necessary sign-offs are complete, contact the BA&A office to book the final inspection
