COMCRIM is an interdisciplinary research project conducted by a public-private consortium into crimes that undermine democracy and the rule of law in and via the Netherlands (ondermijning). Over 28 scholars from more than nine disciplines jointly examine the systemic factors of organized crime. Public and private partners collaborate to detect such crime in unconventional data sources such as banking records, follow the money and discern criminal networks, patterns, and effects. Altogether, our COMCRIM community thereby seeks to ensure proactive, evidence-based interventions that foster resilience of democracy and the rule of law.

At previous LindedIn's sharing, I argued that assessing and examining the characters of policing culture, particularly in a communist state, is not an easy duty! While you can get Chinese police 👮♀️ documents/publications, there are very uncharted studies to reflect on their neighboured communist, Vietnam. As part of my long journey to introduce policing in crisis in Vietnam (perhaps in the next five years?), I hope that my previous and current situation, as Melissa Jardine PhD my co-author, in our latest chapter (insider/outsider policing in Vietnam), will encourage me to share and analyse criminology and policing studies in S-shape country (Vietnam) in the future.
Please look at our latest article that analyses the important roles of the police force in conducting the 'four-on-the-spot' model in disaster management, recovery and resilience-building. It is part of the community-based policing formation in the Vietnam context in which the police are responsible for directly supporting and assisting the local communities in anticipating, responding, and recovering from the natural disaster's impacts.
It is open access; please feel free to download and share. I thank for funding to disseminate and share worldwide. We also thank you sincerely for helpful recommendations from editors of in the special issues Jarrett Blaustein and Shearing and other anonymous reviewers. Well done, team
