Do you know the true value of your money?
Before you make your next purchase, ask yourself:
π How many hours did I have to work to pay for this?
Let's say your take-home pay works out to $25 per hour.
If you spend $250 on a shopping trip, that's 10 hours of your life exchanged for those purchases.
Now ask yourself:
β Was it worth it?
β Will I still value it in a month's time?
β Did I buy it because I needed it or because I wanted a quick emotional boost?
β Could that money have been used for a savings goal or paying off debt?
This isn't about feeling guilty when you spend money.
It's about becoming more mindful and intentional with your choices.
Every dollar represents your time, effort and energy. When you understand the true value of your money, you start making decisions that align with your goals instead of your impulses.

What's one purchase you've made that definitely wasn't worth the hours you worked for it?

π¨ Food Waste Is Costing You More Than You Think! ππ₯¦π
With the cost of living continuing to rise, every dollar matters.
Here's a shocking fact:
π± Around 70% of the 7.6 million tonnes of food wasted in Australia each year is still edible.
That's the equivalent of throwing away one in every five bags of groceries.
Think about that for a moment...
If you spend $250 per week on groceries, you could be throwing away around $50 worth of food every week.
πΈ That's up to $2,500 a year wasted.
Money that could be used to:
β Build an emergency fund
β Pay off debt
β Save for a holiday
β Reduce financial stress
One of the easiest ways to save money is to use what you already have.
Before your next grocery shop:
β
Check your pantry
β
Check your fridge
β
Plan meals around what you already own
Small changes can have a big impact on your budget.
π What's the most commonly wasted food in your household?
π‘ Fun Fact Thursday
Did you know the average Australian spends over $10,000 on dining out each year? πβ
That's more than $190 every week on takeaway meals, restaurants, cafΓ©s and food on the go.
Imagine if even half of that money was redirected towards:
π° Paying off debt
π° Building an emergency fund
π° Saving for a holiday
π° Investing in your future
The goal isn't to stop enjoying life. It's to be intentional with your spending and make sure your money is supporting your goals.
Small changes today can create big financial wins tomorrow.
