Celebrating our Early Childhood Educators 💚

Today is Early Childhood Educators’ Day, and we’re celebrating the incredible educators who help make our Y centres welcoming, nurturing and inspiring places for children and families.

Every day, our educators bring care, patience, creativity and heart to their work – helping children learn, grow, build confidence, make friends and feel a sense of belonging.

To our amazing Early Childhood Educators, thank you for everything you do and the difference you make every single day.

Happy Early Childhood Educators’ Day!

Recently, our new Group Manager – Children's Services, Chris Barlow, visited our beautiful Acacia Ridge Early Learning Centre.

During his visit, Chris had the opportunity to explore the centre's learning environments, view children's work and see firsthand the warm, welcoming spaces created by the team each day.

From colourful displays celebrating children's learning journeys to thoughtfully designed indoor environments that encourage curiosity, creativity and connection, the centre reflects the care and dedication of its educators.

Reflecting on his visit, Chris shared:
"You know you're onto a good thing when educators introduce themselves as 'newbies' at 8 years of tenure – one of our educators there will mark 30 years at the service next year. It's clear why families love this service; it's calm, fun and so warm. Kirsty and her team are doing a phenomenal job!"

We couldn't agree more. 💚

These spaces, experiences and displays are a reflection of the wonderful team at Acacia Ridge, whose passion and commitment help create an environment where children feel safe, supported and inspired to learn every day.

To all the mums, grandmothers, carers and mother figures, thank you for the care you give, the strength you show, the encouragement you offer and the countless little things you do every day.

At the Y, we see the role you play in our communities. Through our OSHC services and community centres, we are proud to support families and create spaces for connection.

Today, we celebrate you and all that you mean to the people around you. Happy Mother’s Day! 🫶🌸
